hello:] in the past few years my mind set on life has changed a lot, and i recently dropped out of high school. i'm 17 and now getting my GED and then gonna go to community college to get a pharmacy tech degree and then study art (my favorite). since iv changed my ideas of what i want to do in life (and what matters) i am constantly thinking of dropping under the radar, its been a real dream of mine to see the world with my own eyes. i know i'll wait until I've done my schooling so i have something to-do when i'm done.
i just would like to know of others who have done this (any females?)
and what its like to live a life of freedom :]
and im also having trouble with my mother we don't see eye to eye on being a "free spirit" (HELP)
    Thanks for your time, peace!

Your life is the road stretching in front of you but it's your vision that takes you beyond; where the horizon is an imagine of freedom yet its reality springs from the soul. And it's always your own view, and with your own eyes ... just sometimes we tend to forget.

So yes you gotta live it and do it and be true to yourself even though you may go through a lot of what feels like compromises ... and so you gotta ask yourself over and over and over again if this is what deeper inside calls to you - what your spirit longs to transform, through the vision, into the doing where things get lost again to the ramifications of life.

Take whatever you find yourself in as a learning experience, and just practise, and listen.

It ain't easy out on your own. You will be majorly surprised by what all your Mom and family actually did for you, even just the typical meanial chores.
    Schooling first! Good idea.
And always remember, no one, and I mean no one will love you and try to protect you like your Mom & Dad...
    Do everything in Moderation....
I hope you find the path you seek....:)

I'm not old, or a hippie, but....

You're romanticizing things that are not special.

There's no radar to drop below, all you have to do is what you want. There's not two worlds, there's just the combination of lifestyles that makes up YOUR individual life.

Also, dropping out of school is moronic, especially if you have ANY plans of getting an anything degree in anything, and ever being taken seriously. There's plenty of time for screwing your life up after at least jumping through the hoops you need to to save yourself from your own screwups later.

Go back and BEG them to let you re-enroll. If you choose a GED over high school, you're a fool, and probably have social reasons for doing this. You just want to fly under the radar because you don't think you can fit in with a specific group of dipshits.
