I've just recently gotten internet back. since november me and my fiance Shadow Walker were living with my married-to-each-other boyfriend and girlfriend (I'm polyamorous) and about mid-january she broke up with me. shortly after, Shadow and I were robbed. My laptop and his gun he inherited from his father after his death. That gun was underneath another gun which wasn't moved and the only people who knew it was in that specific place were our housemates. They insist it must've been one of their friends but they won't acknowledge which one or help us find out. On top of that a few months prior, Shadow's mom was going to lose the property they had for nearly 20 years and we suggested my ex's since they have two kids and a couple pit bulls and needed the room. They've been taking tools and other things from the house and property and selling it for scrap. And now they're going to lose the property anyway because as of today, it's being foreclosed on. I hate (most) people.

did I mention that only visible rummaging through our room to get the laptop and gun was a stapler that was in the drawer on the floor... nothing else was touched. so yeah, they did it or at least conspired in it.

my heart goes out to you mate. i've been down that same road.
in my case, it was my so called "mother" who fucked me over.
she took out several credit cards in my name, without my knowledge.
she ran up almost $67,000.00 (u.s.a. funds) debit, IN MY NAME!

OH MAN, OH MAN! WHAT A HORROR THAT WAS CLEARING MY NAME!
those credit rating agencies are merciless sons and daughters of a bitich!
it cost me almost $6,000.00 in legal fees, to get my good name back.

who wants to put their mother in jail... even if she is a super shitty "mother?"

here is my 2 cents worth; take it or leave it as you wish.
learn how to protect yourself from id thief before it happens to you... i learned the hard, expensive and, painfully way!

Kick them out and change your locks. And steal some of their shit in the process, but do not admit to it. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

hey all sorry ive been away for so long...not that i post much anyway... the problem with that last part socalking27 is that i wont stupe to their level...what i will do is report them to the police and social services with a laundry list of offensive when the police in this town already want to take them down.... yes im a bit scary when someone crosses me or the people i love.

I deleted the part about stealing their stuff to get even.

Really get even by turning their worthless asses over to the cops. I don't care much for the cops as they seem to spend most of their time violating peoples civil rights cuz they (The cops) think they are above The Law.

Just the fact that these pukes stole a firearm just might get them a couple extra years in prison. If the cops already want to put these folks AWAY this will give them some extra ammo to do just that. If and when this case goes to Court stand up for the Prosecution and testify against the perps. But DO NOT LIE UNDER OATH. Doing so will/could open a big can of worms aimed at you and you will be in a world of shit.:(

The firearm and laptops total value will probably be enough to file Grand Larceny on them which is a Felony in most states. Most Felonies draw 5 years a pop minimum. If you're living in a 3 Strikes Law state depending on their rap sheet they could go away for a very, very long time. Don't let them get away with this shit. At the very least get a Restraining Order against them. If you get a RO on them and they get within the 'No Mans Land' of that order it could help your case along with the cops case and or District Attorneys Office. If they violate the RO just call the cops and let the cops do their job. Cops love busting bad guys.

In the future be careful who you trust. Take some Martial Arts training. Get some basic firearms training. If the bf buys another handgun GET A GUNSAFE AND USE IT!!! Get a dog or two. BE careful who you trust or TRUST NO ONE until they EARN YOUR TRUST!!!

We did turn them in but getting any authority figures to do anything in this town is a nightmare. At this point they may not be arrested yet but we have made their lives a living hell. They have been alienated from all their former friends, they have lost the house we were in, and if my understanding is right their kids were taken away by social services....sooo they have been fucked over pretty good. As far as trusting people goes, belive me i normaly dont trust anyone... this is the one time ive let my guard down and you see where that got me. I was going to be geting a gun safe i just didnt have it yet even though i knew better. as far as martial arts and firearms trianing...armed with my sword or bare hands they would not have made it out alive and my shot pattern is generaly 3-5 inches at 25 yards so if i had been their when it happened, with or without my pistol, the person that did it would not have survived.... and we live in town with no fireing range so i havent been able to start teaching her how to shoot but she already can shoot decent enough and ive been teaching her some of the martial arts i know.

scary would be if you confronted the dude with a baseball bat ... but threatening online to rat?..not scary

    Fair enough.

But I think in this situation, talking to cops is fine.

Generally if something SHOULD be illegal, I think it's okay to talk to cops. Ratting is bad in drug related situations, or generally those where someone did something that should not be a job for the police, no matter what the law says, ANY victimless crime. Or something impersonal/minor and/or morally sound, despite legal standing. Or one in a confrontation that people have agreed to not take to the police. But if people you "trust" fuck you over, and the type of relationship you're in doesn't preclude it because of your own feelings, by all means, get the cops....

okay first, this is the first time ive called the cops for anything. Second screw the baseball bat my first instint was to put my other pistol in his face untill he told me what i wanted to know, if i had the same temper that i did a few years back i probably would have just said fuck it and shot his ass. But i realized that even though he deserved a bullet it isnt worth loosing aine over. And you dont seem to understand im not just "threatening online to rat" their was no threatening to it when the cops failed to do jack about it i basicly systematicly distroyed their lives.
