BMI is a crappy measure. a number doesnt make you healthy. just the fact that muscle weighs more than fat debunks it. you need a new doctor, someone who actually listens to you and wants to try to help.
i know its hard to remember to eat, i am realizing that more and more, i get so distracted. i lost about ten pounds from forgetting to eat, not cool. im at about 120 now, but i am also dealing with thyroid problems. i had twins 5 years ago, and im 5'3"-5'4"
being underweight can effect your period, but the puking should be of greater concern to the doc. if it is a hormone surge (ive never heard of that, but id be concerned of a glandular imbalance then) the pill should help that, i take the pill and am comfortable with it. it does make your periods regular, as it determines your cycle. 3 weeks of active pills, 1 week of placer/placebo pills. i usually start my period on the night of the 3rd inactive pill, its nice and predictable.

    Ehh, now I'm hungry.

I don't have any ground up cows, but I do have rather high quality bacon and cheddar cheese, I'll go fry up something unhealthy in a little while. I don't feel like eggs, so maybe baked buttered potato with melted cheese and pepper, and bacon fried with chedder dropped onto it a few second before removing from the pan..... And milk. And coffeeeee.... And raspberries and blackberries.... and cardiac arrest on the side:sunny:

Also, eat a cheesburger, you skinny hoe :2thumbsup:

Mellali-----thanks, I hope I don't need to stay on the pill for long, but I feel more emotionally stable now, and I think it might have something to do with that.

Mothers love----I know, I don't have the best luck finding good docs bc I don't have ins. As far as the hormone surge, I've never heard of it before this either. I googled "why do I puke when I start my period" and it came up with a ton of comments from other people with the same problem so I find a little credibility to it. Idk. It just sucks not knowing what the he'll is going on with my body, and like you said, the docs really aren't listening too much to me.

    Roorshack------suck it!!!! Lol, jk! :D

Well, since you're feeling emotionally stable, me sucking whatever "it" is might be an option:afro:

same prob here! I just put it down to natural fast metabolism, at least i can eat cake and not worry :p but seriously, as long as you feel ok in yourself then don't let it worry you, only if you're starting to get pain you should see your GP. The vomiting could be related to hormones but only slightly.. have you been checked for anaemia?

    Rock on!!

That IS the best part of it!! Eating whatever the hell I want w/ no consequenses! (sorta)

That's the thing though, I've been having ridiculous stomach/pelvic pain on and off (We're talking 1 wk out of every 2 months) for about...a year or two?

I know I really need to get to a real doctor, but like I said, I just can't afford it. I'm the type of person that waits till I literally can't move from pain before I go to the ER. Anything less than that and I usually don't see a doc. Gotta' do whatchya' gotta do, and my little boy's health and material needs come first.

Absolutely! I love a girl that's not afraid to eat an extra portion plus the dessert, and looks that way, too

From experience, you might not have trouble gaining weight quickly if they've put you on the pill. When I got on it, I almost immediately gained 10 pounds, then another 10 over the next 8 years. For me, it raised my blood sugar and made we want to eat all the time, which is one of the reasons I quit them, but sounds like for you it's literally just what the doctor ordered.

Omg firefly, it's ridiculous! Lol, I've been hungry all the time since I started the pill! Even tho I know I need to gain weight, its hard to get over that "you'll get fat" mentality. When I was on it before I gained about 15 lbs, which is mainly the reason why I stopped taking it. I had an eating disorder at the time so my thought process was a little jacked.
I do exercise daily tho now so hopefully I'll gain weight in all the right places. And I've been eating fairly healthy food.

And peanut butter and choco chips is delicious! Lol

Thank you! I am so tired of the misconception that thin people are only thin because they don't eat enough.

Anyway, to the OP.... I have never heard of that happening to anyone and if I was you I would get a second opinion just to be sure that that is really what is going on.

The following option might not be viable for you but my girlfriend had the same problem as you, it was easily remedied by ejaculating inside of her. This causes some kind of hormon balance when it is absorbed by the vaginal wall. I also make her pizza with lots of papaya on it, this seems to help the earlier in the month when shes not dropping an egg.

Hope this can be of some use
