Wasn't sure whether I should have posted this in the children's section but who agrees with me when I say it is one of the most underrated books in the English speaking worlds (I've heard its more popular in Germany, the country of its native language). I can't even find it for sale anywhere in Canada.

The movie was amazing too, although sadly it only covered a third of the book. Would really love to see an adaptation of the full story!

I've only seen the movie but the concept of the Nothing has made me really interested in the book.

Yeah, the guy wasn't just a children's author, but a philosopher (read a summary of Momo, his other very famous book, to see what I mean). The book goes into even more detail about the true meaning of the Nothing and its link to the corruption in our world...really great stuff. But believe me, that is just scratching the surface of what the book has to offer.

I'm a fan of the movie, but the book is so much better. I love it :)

I really liked the lion in the desert.

I love the story. One of my all time favourites.
