Why would anyone make a conclusion about god without knowing? How billions of people in this world can say that god exists, or doesn't exist with no knowledge whatsoever is totally beyond my comprehension. These people clearly don't take god seriously at all. The fact is, we know absolutely nothing about god. Why are people afraid to admit it?

Because people are terrified by the thought of chaos, being alone, and most importantly, life being completely and utterly pointless/meaningless. I think the majority of people wouldn't be able to handle such facts if we in fact knew them to be true.

We know every thing there is to know about god. Every word that we use has it's origin in an embodied sensation. God is equal to that which is invoked. What ever your claim to goodness, that is your god. Good and god are linguistically originating from each other, rather the word god is a variation of the word good, and the word good a variation of the word god. Good god.

I'm an Atheist and don't believe in any god.

Remember that there are many religions in the world and some have multiple gods/goddesses.

But you know god doesn't exist. How?

And? How do you know this? Did you read it from a book or just make it up in your imagination?

The question comes with the reaction medicine of refusing to understand conflict. But with the advent of the internet age everyone throws His unexplained justification for Non-being. For conflict the number counted in for Godlessness will always outnumber the Believing in substantial solutions war-weary with thought devout and troubled for Mercy. The conflict is determined by the De Facto unresolvable non-being of the omni-potent God.

Non-being surpassing to Supreme Being Is for the enlightened few to refuse democracy about.

    From observing and by definition.

Every word we use has at it's origin an embodied sensation. The word god represents an embodied sensation. God, in practice, is the reaching for good. There is nothing that we do not do for our own good based on what that model looks like. That model is your god.

It is not helpful to deny the existence of god as an element of human experience. Virtually everyone has some idea about god or goodness and we are all talking about something when we say the word god, even if it is just imagination.

Indeed, it's that simple. Not everybody follows the same way of thinking as you. Does not have to mean they use less logic, but they just have more faith in what they believe or want to believe. Is THAT so hard to comprehend?

If you think that seriously you're clearly jumping to conclusions too fast.

Believing/having faith is not knowing, but when they're sure of something because they're having faith why bother them with your conclusion which only has to offer that YOU are not sure.

Fucking hell, do you have something specifically you would like to challenge because you have demonstrated no fact. My exhalations could not possibly create enough heat to power a hot air balloon.

There is no condition we experience but that emerges from the breath. What is important to you? Does your observation above contribute anything to the subject besides vacuous opinion?

"God", exists quite obviously as an element of human language and experience of the human psyche. Anything beyond this ranges toward belief, or a symbol chosen to represent an unknown variable. This kind of belief never argues with the truth, only with other beliefs.

What I have said about god here are the things we can see and know and confirm in each other. It makes no claim to the supernatural, but neither does it deny that there can be more to learn providing we can demonstrate that knowledge, as knowledge is, being shared.

I say we know everything there is to know about god many times over, but we also believe in many things that are not known or cannot be demonstrated or repeated by experiment.

That wasn't my conclusion. If anyone is sure of anything, they should be able to point to it. One cannot be sure and faith is being sure - this is obvious, is it not? It doesn't depend on my view. Truth is eternal, it isn't available to only specific groups of people, select time periods in history or regions of the world.

Reality is questioning what is reality. You sound critically bothered that common realities are not discovered with my soulless hypothesis in the Existentialism sub-forum earlier today. We could have also not known reality for the different common causes we may have had. So what if someone by the internet didn't catch the Obvious facts of life somewhere else in the membership? It just is a matter of reasoning the understanding of possible communication for Reality. It may happen yet, thedope:eek:

The grotesque truth shall set the argument on fire. God is found to not exist. If God exists though, mind you, The reality of his form and plausible truth for creative endeavor should be incomparable. The one God for all becomes ultimately different for each and everyone of US. :D

I don't know who Ken Barlow is. I'll take your answer as you don't really have anything to say to me, although I generally give people the benefit of the doubt, I see nothing that invites me to take you seriously. Perhaps you will have the opportunity or inclination to try again at some point. If so, I will accord you the respect of not ignoring you.

But how can anyone who doesn't know who Ken Barlow is expect to be taken seriously?
