Anyone tried this? It's supposed to last longer than smoked DMT, but slightly less intense, and have very similar effects more akin to ayahuasca, but not as long lived... What I also wanted to know is because it contains MAOIs - would you have to go on a special diet beforehand, or does that only affect things when you drink it? All advice will be taken gratefully :sunny: Cheers, P :sultan:
You don't need a special diet, just don't be on any medication. It's DMT laced herbs, it will last just as long as DMT and be even more intense thanks to the MAOIs.
I've done it a few times, at the same number of hits, Changa is less intense than DMT freebase, it's referred to as "Dancefloor DMT" among some circles. It does last slightly longer though, maybe a good 8-12 minutes of tripping with an afterglow. Here is an article on erowid you may find interesting... I posted an excerpts about the effects http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/dmt_article1.shtml He characterized it as being "opiate-like, with the teeniest creep of DMT-like effects", and said he had heard of people mixing DMT into it. He mentioned a particular quality of electricity that occurred in one's hands after smoking it, which he called "changa fingers". Later, in response to us scrawling "Got Changa?" on our booth's whiteboard, a fellow from Brighton showed us some. He said it combined DMT with a MAOI plant, which extended the DMT effect from 3-5 minutes to about 20 minutes. On viewing the changa, I noticed that it looked similar to a Banisteriopsis caapi-plus-DMT smoking blend I'd seen earlier this year in Basel. Energy Control ran TLC on a small sample, and it spotted positive for DMT. The changa I have had is not a commercially made blend like what's reported here and what I smoked had more DMT in it. It's not the same otherworldly rollercoaster trip DMT Freebase is, it's slower and a bit more relaxing (I don't know if i'd go as far as opiate-like tho) so you can kind of process the space pretty thoroughly which is cool, but overall I prefer the DMT freebase trip.
hmmm... so i'm kind of confused, is this stuff even more potent then DMT? and is it legal? lol.. wouldn't mind trying some hah.
GB, thanks dude, I have read that article, very interesting! Well, it looks like the opportunity has arisen... Will let you guys know how the voyage goes! Probably after the week end :sunny: Was also wondering, the afterglow, how long does it last, would one be able to indulge on a 'school night'? and be fine to work the next day?
You think it would be a good beginners excursion into the world of DMT? If DMT is legal where you live, then yes
Yah that will be fine :2thumbsup: Definitely jump on the opportunity if it has presented itself, I don't think there needs to be a particular order to approach DMT tho. The various incarnations I've had of smoked DMT (DMT freebase, Changa, Jungle Spice) all have provided powerful, meaningful experiences.
Also which would be the best device for this?, bong (think this might be the best option?), spliff (not gonna put any bud in there), pipe, or what?
I clicked here because I was curious what changa meant in English. In Santo Domingo its used for roach. Carry on...
It's DMT & MAOI containing plants, soaked in DMT solution, VERY different to weed lol. I think it was first 'invented' in Australia Here is some reading: http://deoxy.org/wiki/Changa And my first impressions with this wonderful, crazy stuff: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=427591&f=457
