No, donate all your money to Hip Forums so we can have a big END OF THE WORLD party!

Don't forget to give away all your worldly goods to the homeless too. In fact, why not invite them into your house now, show them what GOOD CHRISTIANS you are (remember Jesus is watching!). You need them in early so they can be shown how everything works and how to feed your pets (they ain't going to heaven with you - didn't you know that?)

And you guys better get over to Ground Zero where Christ will return. If you arrive late, you won't have time to make it thru his security before his spaceship takes off to heaven.

Have a great trip, give my love to Jesus and tell him I'm sorry I didn't respond to his email about the End of the World cause I know he's just scamming everyone, yet again. He does this every few years for shits and giggles.

The October 28th end date of the Maya/Aztec/Olmec Calendar is 1 week after Camping's date of Oct. 21st,
... and 2 days after the new moon

The harvest moon is fall the time of death
The May Day moon is one of life
Like Beltane and Samhain witch do have significance in the lunar Jewish calendar as well.

    Life = rapture = spring
    Death = extermination = fall

A 2012 forum: to tell us off that we can just stare at the anti-christ in some Newton Gingrage and conclude that we are evil ourselves to believe He was anything to convince about the Kyoto Protocol.

We just are lazy: especially the members of the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, and scientists all over the world speaking of the threshold past for delusions and unworkable wealth for the understanding of true Science.

I never understood this idea that if the end of the world is coming, you should give your shit away...

Ignoring the whole fact that they are always wrong about it... What is the point?

Is it so they can stand before their god and say, "look, I'm pious, I didn't hold material possesions as important"... do they really think that would fool their god?

It's like the whole, as long as you ask for forgivenss thing before you die you get to be saved... Why do people worship a god that they think is stupid enough to fall for that? Live a life of evil and flaunt my word, but say "I'm sorry" and its all okay?

lol, I will give all these issues partial kudos... for at least providing amusement...

Ok I didnt bother reading through the whole thread, but here is how this was calculated (wikipedia):

Camping has presented several numerological[13] arguments, or biblical "proofs", in favor of the May 21st end time. A civil engineer by training, Camping states he has attempted to work out mathematically-based prophecies in the Bible for decades. In an interview with SFGate he explained "...I was an engineer, I was very interested in the numbers. I'd wonder, 'Why did God put this number in, or that number in?' It was not a question of unbelief, it was a question of, 'There must be a reason for it.' " [14]
    [IMG] [IMG]
Harold Camping being interviewed about his prediction in early 2011.

As early as 1970, Camping dated the Great Flood to 4990 BC.[15] Taking the prediction in Genesis 7:4 ("Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth") to be a prediction of the end of the world, and combining it with 2 Peter 3:8 ("With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day"), Camping concludes that the end of the world will occur in 2011, 7000 years from 4990 BC.[5] Camping takes the 17th day of the second month mentioned in Genesis 7:11 to be the 21st May, and hence predicts the rapture to occur on this date.[5]
Another argument[16] that Camping uses in favor of the May 21st date is as follows:

    1. According to Camping, the number five equals "atonement", the number ten equals "completeness", and the number seventeen equals "heaven".
    2. Christ is said to have hung on the cross on April 1, 33 AD. The time between April 1, 33 AD and April 1, 2011 is 1,978 years.
    3. If 1,978 is multiplied by 365.2422 days (the number of days in a solar year, not to be confused with the lunar year), the result is 722,449.
    4. The time between April 1 and May 21 is 51 days.
    5. 51 added to 722,449 is 722,500.
    6. (5 × 10 × 17)2 or (atonement × completeness × heaven)2 also equals 722,500.
Thus, Camping concludes that 5 × 10 × 17 is telling us a "story from the time Christ made payment for our sins until we're completely saved."[14]
Camping has not been precise about the exact timing of the event, saying that "maybe" we can know the hour.[17] He has suggested that "days" in the Bible refer to daylight hours particularly.[17] Another account says the "great earthquake" which signals the start of the Rapture will "start in the Pacific Rim at around the 6 p.m. local time hour, in each time zone."[18]
In Camping's 1992 self-published book 1994? he predicted that the End Times would come in September 1994 (variously reported as September 4[12] or September 6[19]). When the Rapture failed to occur on the appointed day, Camping said he had made a mathematical error.[20]

    Sounds pretty stupid to me....

And on top of that, they keep saying that ''those who believe will be saved''. Well believe me, If the fucking ground splits in half and demons start coming out and shit, I'm surely going to reassess my views on all that jazz. Who wouldnt?

I'll believe it when it happens, just like everyone else, and then we'll be saved, no? In the meantime I'm not going to walk around mongering fear like a douchebag.

    I can't believe nobody posted this yet.^

Well, only two shopping days left before.. I mean, only two days left to get your asses saved.

I was talking to a guy at work today about it. He goes to church every sunday. He said this probably isn't it yet. He went on to say that the Rapture is when all the good people get sucked up into Heaven. The rest have to go through the Hell on earth thing, etc.

So if anyone you know is gone this sunday, you know where they went.

I think I have about a 75% chance of catching the bus. Wish me luck! :D

I doubt we are going to see thousands of christians who believe in this, to suddenly start giving away all their possesions to other people in need or help better the world.. 'just in case' it doesn't happen. Very lame and selfish!

Anyway..2 more days, look out people! lol ..i'm going to have to buy a case of beer :D
maybe go on a 'trip'.. ride a bike .. lol

Nope, no end 'n sight. I can't find neither twine nor the thin wire I bought three years ago for the purpose of hanging pictures. It's just utility. They are of similar scientific convenience as they pass for the grace of places to look for the thing during the wrong time of tidying up. The store owes me another waste of money.
