We have located an amazing site! This site cantinas a spring. Lots of parking. A lot of down-wood. A Shallow river, with sandy beaches. A large meadow deep in the woods. A large pond with a island. A small pond. A native american medicine wheel. On the north side of the Raccoon River is Pleasant Valley Wildlife Management Area, in which privative camping is allowed, but you must move you site every 14 day. On the south side is Kuehn Consideration Area, in-which camping is allowed with public restrooms. This is a Healing Gathering!...

DIRECTIONS TO MID-WEST REGIONAL: From Des Moines, Iowa head west on I-80. Continue on I-80 past I-35. Take Exit 106, Dallas County. Start looking for teepees and rock stacks. Head North on P58/L Avenue. Cross Raccoon River. Take a Left on E Panther Creek Road. Twist and Turn, stay on Panther Creek Road. WARNING: Continue going straight west on 315th st. when Panther Creek RD becomes 315th St. Do not turn right on Panther Creek RD, "At the turkey".(it's really not that confusing) Travel 0.5 miles. Take a left on Indian Trail, "At the Deer". Follow till end. Welcome Home.

This sounds awesome. I've already started to pack gear for Memorial Day weekend. camping.

 

Can't wait to see you indydude. There is also a spring fed waterfall! makes a great shower!

 

The waterfall sounds perfect! I have a old Tee pee that I've wanted to use to cover a sweat lodge. It pretty big and heavy. Would work great. A sweat then a spring fed shower. Nirvana!

4. Go to Nat'l Gathering at end of June - within 4 hours of LONGVIEW!

5. Nat'l Gathering end of June thru mid July

6. Mid- July, Drive home to Woodstock, NY
