What are your favorite albums and why? After Bathing At Baxter's - Jefferson Airplane This is one of the greatest psychedelic albums of all time. the first airplane cd i bought. the whole album is awesome. Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd the first Floyd album is pure classic. Syd was a genius. I like the early floyd better and this is definetly a #1. Meddle - Pink Floyd This is Floyd's early masterpiece, ECHOES is superb. Axis: As Bold As Love - The Jimi Hendrix Experience my favorite Hendrix album. great songs. The White Album - The Beatles This was a hard choice because there are so many great beatles albums but this one is my favorite followed by Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath This is another hard choice but it is definetly the strongest Sabbath album, there are later ones that are awesome too(Sabotage, Never Say Die, H&H) but this one is the one that makes sabbath, sabbath. Surfer Rosa - Pixies Great Great Great! Their earlier stuff is better and this is their best. In Utero - Nirvana screw Nevermind this is where it's at. This is what Nirvana sounds like, not smells like teen spirit. Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin IMO the best Zepp album. I can't explain why but i just love this album. Quadrophenia - The Who This is THE rock opera. Great front to back. but it is a hard choice would also pick Live at Leeds. Great songs, great theme, Great. JOn

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane over the Sea -Its a beautiful dream worth hearing many times Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antartica -Very deep and full of brilliant moments to keep me sane The Beatles - Abbey Road -My favorite beatle album is always changing. At this point in my life, i'd say this one is Elliott Smith - Either/or -Because he's elliott smith, and its my favorite by him, along with my first My Bloody Valentine - Loveless -A fuzzy orgasmic dream in your ears Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 -Its very interesting to listen to, and very interesting to ignore. And amazing that someone can make music this advanced back in 85. Animal Collective - Sung Tongs/Feels -I wouldnt know which one to bring. If i was stuck on an island, most likely sung tongs. its more of a "lost on an island" feel then feels. love them both equally Broken Social Scene - You Forget it in People -Its just pure pop brilliance Miles Davis - Kind of Blue -I would need a cool album to chill out to, and this one definitly takes the cake. Devendra Banhart - Rejoicing in the Hands -Always been a favorite of mine, and i couldnt live without hearing it

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust Gotta love the Bowie. Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antartica (same thing rhasta.penguin said) Umka - Komandevatj Paradom Beautiful Russian folk. 5'Nizza - 5'Nizza Russian reggae with a great sounds to it... full of heart. as of right now Laura Cantrell - Not the Tremblin' Kind this is probably my favourite album in the world right now. its just so awesome in every imaginable way. Elliott Smith - Elliott Smith i could listen to albums like this (Pink Moon, Rejoicing in the Hands) forever. oddly though most acoustic-only music bores me. not too original but... Elliott's Either/Or, Figure 8 and From a Basement on a Hill have all been receiving more play time than they probably should. I just can't help it. Nick Drake - Pink Moon i love everything about this album, especially the shortness. it is cool when you can listen to an album and still crave to hear more because its not too long. The Cure - Boys Don't Cry i find this to be the best new wave album ever. i've never listened to anything else by The Cure because i do not want my love of them to be tarnished by their goth rock stuff. Camera Obscura - Lets Get Out of This Country its really just too damn grand to not love. especially "I Need All the Friends I Can Get" so its not 10. oh well
1. France Gall - Il Jouait Du Piano Debout.... great songs, such a great album. 2. The Beatles - Help! .... really hard decision because i love all their albums, but for the moment this is the strongest. 3. Creedence Clearwater Revival- Platinum 2CD ... a very good mix with almost all the best Creedence songs. 4. Elvis Presley - 2nd To None.... just great, it's The King 5. Jimi Hendrix - Concerts... very nice Live material, i wish he still was alive so that i could go and see him. best guitar player ever! 6. Black Sabbath - Sabotage... the song Am I Going Insane (Radio) is soooo great! i listen to it all time right now. 7. Metallica - Master Of Puppets ... it's such a nice sound on this record, it makes it one of Metallicas best albums, i wish Metallica had sticked to their sound in the '80s(their last good album was And Justice For All) 8. Led Zeppelin - IV ... many great songs, Rock 'N Roll, When The Levee Breaks,.. etc,.. 9. Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time .... great records from the beginning till the end. 10. The Kinks - The Village Green Preservation Society ... i dunno why, but when i listen to this album it makes me feel home.
This album is awesome it is probably my favorite sab. album but i didn't choose it because unfortunetly it is not as strong as the first one. Megalomania is AWESOME!!!! Also Never Say Die is a great album.
velvet underground - and nico bowie - ziggy stardust phish - junta grateful dead - american beauty beatles - white album pixies - doolittle
At the moment I say: The Atomic Bitchwax – The atomic bitchwax Black Sabbath – Master of reality or Vol. 4 The Doors – Strange days Pharao Overlord – The battle of axehammer Diamond Head – Lightning to the nations Farflung – 25,000 feet per second Hawkwind – eh, well, that’s a tough one. I’d go with an album like Warrior on the edge of time, their debut or In search of space. Jimi Hendrix – Are you experienced or Electric ladyland Pentangle – Basket of light Witch – Witch Of course I’d rather have 10 selfcompiled cd’s. There’s way to little folk rock on this list.. Edit: Ah, Greenleaf - Revolution rock should be on it for sure as well. Guess I'll change my list by changing that one with Pharao Overlord then

Kylie Minogue : Fever 4. Psychadelic Furs : Mirror Moves 5. Violent Femmes : Violent Femmes 6. The Shamen : Boss Drum 7. Cusco : Apurimac 8. The Grateful Dead : Skeletons from the Closet 9. The B-52's : Good Stuff 10. Buckcherry : 15 Subject to change by the hour, day, month or mood. To be satisfied for the rest of my life, I would truly need about 500-600 albums.
