I love both of your vans..... in different ways, but all the same.

Twodogs, you look like a positively dangerous para-military redneck type, with the colour choice and all :p

Is that Bernies van and trailer in the background? Nice setup. My van is just a high top conversion and my trailer is a converted jet ski trailer. I needed to have the high top so I could have room to lift Cathy and help her move around. We were supposed to do the travel and flea market thing together but she just isn't up to it so I'll just wait as long as necessary and enjoy what I can with her.
It was the fake magazine cover thing I have been working on that was depicted in the "art work" My photoshop skill are terribly lacking.

That is one cute little birdie! Does he make your beard get all knotted up with his nest? By the way, does a family live in there?

Cool Pic Bro, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the nice compliments. Yeah, I do like the high top and extended version, even though I did originally start with a standard height top and length like JC has now. For touring the back roads of AZ, JC has a great set up though. I don't think mine would fair to well in the boonies where he goes.

Sorry.Didn't mean to act like you aren't in the room, so to speak, when I asked if the nice setup was yours. Just didn't know who you were.

Thanks DTFuqu, Yes, that is my little set up. It is a pain at times, but that is what I have for now. I am headed back to IN, so I will be selling this whole set up and starting a totally new one. The next one will probably be a 1 ton 4 X 4 beast!

Take care, and glad you are over here on the threads. :)

Sometimes when this thread comes around I get motivated to post a little something-

    - - was reading thru old Thoreau essays- this one made me think of you - - -

Hope all is well these days-

Looks are deceiving...I'm only dangerous to myself.
It sounds like it's a blessing that she has you around.

I thought that you did a great job.
Nope, no family of parrots. The squirrels mandated that that it should be a "singles only" beard. It was nice to have had the chance to meet you Bernie. (Oh...thanks for only writing the nice stuff about me in your blog.)
    Hey dude.
And the best times of my life.
Hey JJ, stop by more often. Always good to hear from you.

Since I've been keeping the shop open for the owner while he's been basking in Hawaii, I've been working on a few projects of my own. This is the time of the year that I like to sleep with the bay door open. Since Skwert thinks that he's invincible 'cause all sorts of big animals run from him, he has no idea that coyotes and mountain lions would find him to be a tasty treat. Therefore I decided to construct a sliding screen door for the van. It was pretty much an engineering nightmare and I had to re-do a number of things.

Anyhoo, those of you that want to see all the action, or if you just can't get enough of my sexy voice, (Tommy Chong impersonates my voice.) here is an awesome Low-Def movie.

For those that don't want to waste the time, and/or find Low-Def and my voice grating on your nerves, here are some pics.

Nice job on the screen door, now just for the porch :O) I know how it is having to protect the "Skwerts" with the tougher than anything out there attitudes. Mine is 4 pounds but thinks she is the size of a bull mastif... Did you do much good at the prospecting this winter? I'm getting ready to head west in 1 week, going to head to az this fall, maybe we will run into each other and have one of those famous burgers you make. later and be safe.

You are quite entertaining JC, I like the screen door but I REALLY like the hidden box floor and that gave me some ideas for my bus.

    Best to ya man.... kenny

Hey Twodogs! I'm glad to see that your still here. I've been gone for a while. I talked to you a while back about your rig. I now have an old 3/4 ton dodge truck with plans to turn it into a vardo style camper.

Very nice work on the screen door. And the hidey hole too. Things are going well with Cathy and she is gaining strength slowly so, with good care, I hope to have a few more years with her.

Old Wolf told me about this thread and it has been the most interesting hour or so spent sipping coffee and reading. I heard Sedona's call and moved out to Arizona almost two summers ago. I am living up in Jerome and I traded my crossover for a jeep wrangler...I would LOVE to go on a tour with you and have my socks blown off! My days off are spent wandering around in the wilderness. I serve at the Mile High in Jerome M, T, W's if you are ever in the area stop in and say hey. Just ask for Kim. :)

    Hi TwoDogs,
you use the same handle as one of the guys I met in 94 or thereabouts in Bosnia.
He was clean shaved and short haired. wouldn't be you?
Anyway, nice doings, I am impressed.
Often wish I had the courage to just get out, but no, money always pulls me back into.
