Maybe this as an opportunity to have a meaningful discussion about grass (and privacy) with your mom. I don't know how old you are - which obviously factors into the situation - but if you approach the situation maturely, perhaps you can begin the process of un-demonizing weed in mom's eyes.

I second this. Nobody who smokes cannabis hates it. It is only those who are completely ignorant of the plant that hate it.
