Nicely Psychedelic! I especially like this one... You need to show these in a gallery. I mean a real one.
who says because they're 9x12 you cant show them in a gallery or do whatever you want with them?? bad ass stuff, dawg, love it
A lot of it reminds me very much of stuff I have drawn except I never had the patience to color mine! And mine never really stuck to one pattern to a whole piece, but would shift from different patterns.... because I would always feel that the physical manifestation was too slow as compared to what I was seeing in my mind lol
Woaw, This is great, the colours are really sweet, you said you used ink and markers ? Please, upload more of these ! EDIT : Just one question : did you do it while on drug (I'm talking about lsd or dmt come down, not ganja ^^) or after the experiences ?
The only one produced while actually ON drugs is the weird non geometric one, but it was colored months later. Yeah I hear you, no way I'd have enough focus while ON LSD or something to make consistent patterns or anything like that. But you should try coloring your drawings sometime. I keep a stack of acid doodles around to color when the mood strikes me, never disappoints.
wow, really great stuff! you should definitely try to get your stuff shown in a gallery sometime. your art reminds me of the traditional embroidery Shipibo art from Peru that is inspired by taking Ayahuasca. examples: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...m=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1245&bih=680
I've been thinking of repainting the walls of my room and doing one of your pieces on the wall above my bed. I really fucking like them. I did something in your style with woodburning on a box. Could you enlighten me more on how you create these? Your medium, etc? I have some really good psychedellic artwork/patterns and stuff, and I have coloured some of them, but I've never been able to get such vibrant and solid colour. I started using coloured pencils and pens and now I've bought a 50$ nice set of pencil crayons that colour more solid, but they're still not perfect.
Ink and markers buddy. I use fine point sharpies for the outlining and a $35 set of Pentel markers for the coloring. Yeah colored pencils are hard to work with as it is, if you want bold patterns and such don't even bother. The process usually consists of lightly drawing a square inch grid with pencil and ruler, then detailing with pencil and tracing over with the sharpie when I've got what I want, then erase the pencil and color!
