May 21, 2011 ..Judgement Day... and October 21, 2011..the 'end of the world'.
My friend showed me this today.. he feels like it true. Though i'm not big fan of dates being set for the end of the world. It was calculated by one man's interpretation of the bible, though he does use passages from the bible to support his claim.
Though I believe only god will truly know when the time is right..

    Thoughts on this whole subject??...

i was tripping pretty hard one time. This voice in my head assured me I was going to die in a few days.. well, days came and went and not trips like this have resurfaced no matter how hard I try... but I will die someday, sometimes I hope very soon.. but silly me knows death is just an illusion, so Im fucked whatever I do. :(

I can tell right away from his dates, that he's a bit mixed up. 6000 years after Adam and Eve, he has Noah. Check the Genealogy, and that doesn't work. According to the genealogy starting at Gen 5:3, it is about 1400 years.

He also misses the BC to AD time shift. Jesus was born on 0 AD, which is 4 BC. He's calling it 7 BC, but still, he doesn't call it 0 AD, which it is.

There should be no year zero.

As a matter of grammar, AD should come before the date.

Anno Domini 2011 = The Year of the Lord 2011

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Death is an illusion. So is judgement.

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

^I never did like that verse!

Well if we are using the Bible's chronology, the Flood of Noah’s day occurred in 2370 B.C.E. not in 4990 BC, so just starting out the guy is some 2600 years off in his calculations.

    But even ignoring that, the Bible says;
Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. (Matthew 24:36)

Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)

He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction" (Acts 1:7)

But that said, I believe that from the signs that Jesus gave of the signs of the last days, we should see that we are living in those last days and should be preparing ourselves for what should shortly take place.

Not that I believe in any kind of judgement day or ultimate Judger, but for those of you who do believe in Christianity and the Bible, take a look at what the Bible actually says.

    Mathew 24:32-26

32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

So, as you can see, according to the Bible man will never be able to predict the end of times, but can do things to prepare all the same.

snap. you beat me to it.

    Why "very soon" orison? :(

but yeah, i don't really agree with this guy making this 'end of the world' prediction. You have all made some great
    points.

But in all honesty, there are some messed up things going on around the world.. you guy's think humanity will make it for another 100 years?

I mean i definitely believe in god.. just really don't reside to a certain religion.. it's more like.. where does the universe come into play in this whole thing?? Like i know someday it will all end.. and i know many Christians will actually be looking forward to the day when judgment day arrives and the 'end of the world'..to be taken to heaven.

But it's like .. fuck! I still have my whole life to live..and i want to accomplish a lot of things. I haven't even gotten a chance to experience many things at all! I want to do some good in the world... I got music to make!!!! but whatever.. all this end of the world stuff is going to my head haha. Kinda makes me depressed ya know?

That's the only thing you need to know about the subject. Do you know how many times people have predicted that the world will end on a particular date, and that day has come and gone, and the world just keeps spinning around? The whole thing's ridiculous.

While you do not believe in their particular belief system I think you're very uncool to berate their beliefs. If Born Again Christians are correct come Judgement Day folks such as yourself will be in a world of hurt when your numbers up. Just sayin'.:sunny:

The bible tells you how to go to heaven, not how the heavens go.
