Doctor says it was tough. He's in post op. Their keeping him under for another hours or so. Breathing tube will stay in as long at needed. tonight or two days.

Long night and day of course. We're sitting in the recovery room with Jared, our hero. He says that Ranger has a real solid heart rate. What excellent news.

He's gong to keep him under and sleeping through the night. Lots of pain med for having his rib cage sawn open. Sleep and healing.

Rita went out to the lot to their van to go night night. Thanks Cheryl.
And I may well be going into crash mode soon, myself.

At 7:00 p.m. the Changing of the Guard. The Critical Care nurse guys do 12 hours shifts. Barney is on it and taking care of everything. Our buddy Jared is off. Rager is sleeping well and thereby not feeling the pain. Plus they've got him on heavy morphine and what ever they gave Michael Jackson, only he's in the hospital and not in a mansion.

I think that I'm going to sleep. Bye

Yay. Thank you, Kenny, for being there for Ranger and for us all. I've been sick as a dog with the flu, but it's nothing compared to what Ranger's been through. So glad to hear he came through it...as strong as he is stubborn, and that's a good thing.

 

Thank you Kenny for standing with rita and ranger alll thru this you are the one who is trurly the saint.

 

GOOD MORNING and welcome the new days for the RANGER!!!! When he awakes not only will he now have good blood flow he will STILL have the DYANAMIC DOU of Rita and Kenny to wake and cheer him on from his bed side!!!

Heck triple bypass shoot nothing to it!! Just go to sleep Crack the ribcage chop out clogged arterys and maybe a vien too and use either Animal of Ranger Body parts(the bypass arteries/veins/tubes man just a day at the swap meet !!

What GREAT news that the repaired ticker has now begun to take Ranger back to being a man of activity. Yes we will all make sure to help him get up and begin the road to complete healing. PHEW so so glad he has made it past the scarry part...the Surgury. Now a lot of work at rehabing begings!

Rita and Kenny as stated by many here thanks for being there for each other and the R-man/Thudmiester. I have a feeling that after the rehab life will seem to begin all over again for Ranger. This will also help Rita of course!! It may take up to a few months maybe even a year to become the marathon man but there will be plenty of support!! THANKs to all I do believe that the good energy sent to his bed helped!! I choose to believe!!

Now that this stage of Ranger repair is done, I will probally be mia for a while as the stress of other things need my complete energys. Bless all of you.

Hi Guys,

It's around 4:00 p.m., Sat. May 7th. I'm sitting here in the heart recovery section, room 12 with Ranger and his accoutrements, all of the machines with all of their bells and whistles, racks with six hanging bags each with monitors, and other stuff. He's out, and still with a breathing tube.

Jared, our renowned man of magic, says that he's going to continue to keep him under. I say good. He will miss more of the early intense pain period. Jared, says that he's going to keep breathing tube in for a while as well because of his lung condition. Says he has Emphysema and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

He actually had a quadruple by-pass rather that a triple by-pass. Might as well go all the way. And of course the earlier surgery where they removed and put in new arteries on both sides of his neck.

All goes well. Rita is off in a park in the sunshine, airing her head out. (de-stress). Ranger's Sleeping. Jared is fussing and writing notes.

Same old some old. He's sleeping soundly. Nothing new. Nighty night.

 

Happy Mother's Day!!!

 

Just talked to my mom.
As she says, Mother's Day is really a day celebrating all of the girls. Mom or no mom.

So, in that vane. Hooray to all of you girls! Yay!



Regarding Ranger. Last night I made the tough decision to go home and hug Me-Lady and to sleep in my own bed. I thought about continuing to say, but they're pretty much going to keep him under for days, and so too with the breathing tube down his throat. He's had pneumonia this whole time since before last week. The breathing tube stays until his lungs clear up and his breathing isn't as shallow as it is right now. Eventually. This to shall pass.

 

7:00 p.m. Monday May 9, 2011.

I just talked with our buddy Super Jared. Ranger is doing real good and they just now took the breathing tube out of his airway. This means that the pneumonia has subsided. Cool. Still can't talk

 

12:40 a.m. Tuesday May 10, 2011.

Actually talked with Ranger. Really. He's totally happy. It's all over. Of course he'll be laid up in the recovery section with all kinds of stuff plugged into him for another week or so, probably. But he's sounding happy. Mega pain killers, perhaps.

 

Well now, that about the best news I've had in yrs. GO Ranger.. We knew you could do it Sug. Everyday you will get stronger and everyday the pain will be less and less untill there is no more and then you'll be up and about in no time. It's all downhill from here, easy rollin'.

When your on your feet and back at the Markets, I would like you to find me some unique Beads and I will send you the $ for them. Now you have another reason to get weller.

There are just no words of graditude that can express how gratefull we all are to you. I'm sure Ranger and Rita will never forget what you've done. He was listening to you and he heard you. You saved a life dearest Kenny, ya you.

You carried all our love to him in one big package and deposited it right in his heart. You Helped Rita through a very tough time of uncertianty and you kept us all posted on what was going on.

Just got done talking with Ranger for about 3 hours. He is one happy camper and glad that he is alive and through it all.
