    I'm going to be growing:

    carrots
    lettuce
    spinach
    tomatoes
    cucumbers
    squash
    green beans
    strawberries

I might have to do some of that inside this fall/winter. I'm going to build a hydroponic system to use outside this summer then try some inside next winter.

I also have 2 blueberry bushes that should produce. One died and i had to replace in Feb but it looks to have maybe 200 berries this yr and i didn't think i would have any.

I live in GA so we have a long growing season. I am planning on greens, more potatoes, carrots, maybe some broccoli this fall.

Planning my first garden this year. Going to grow:

    Lettuce
    Tomatoes
    Carrots
    Peppers
    Strawberries
    Kale
    Cucumbers
    Asparagus

Quick question. I have a large dog and want to prevent him from going into the garden and digging or eating things. Any suggestions? I was thinking of making a sort of fence of Clematis around it, but I'm quite sure they are poisonous to pets.

I don't have too much planted yet. This past weeks I've planted a bunch of red onions and giant radishes. Everything is better with a red onion 8).

I have a 9 month old beagle, he isn't a big dog, but he is hyper as all get out. I used chicken wire and the 4 foot deck supports (the ones that go from a handrail to the deck) and cemented them in the ground and ran the chicken wire. He can jump over it but he has learned it is a boundary and wont jump unless he is just being crazy.

With a big dog, chain link may be the best (and kind of expensive) way.

    squash
    broccoli
    corn
    onions
    tomatoes
    zuchinni
    carrots
    potatoes
    cabbage

My herb garden only has lonely lavender thus far. I want to do an herb garden for both cooking and homemade beauty products. If anyone has any suggestions for herbs that are beneficial to the skin, I would love to hear them!

Comfrey - helps cuts, rashes, etc heal up fast.

Grows easily [a bit too easily if you're not careful] and the bees love its flowers.

You can also cut it back up to 6 times in a Summer and the leaves/stem make excellent addition to a compost heap or, steeped in water, a plant feed.

We're getting ready to move, so can't grow much this season. But I am having a salady blast with lettuces, onions, and carrots. My potted blueberry looks very happy this year, my apple tree died over the summer, and I received 3 strawberries as a gift that have made very tasty snacks so far. I've been grazing at random in my balcony garden, munching whatever is ripe. Happy me!

I haven't put out any veggies this year, but as for plants and flowers, I've got some black petunias that I've potted (they're gorgeous!), and earlier this month, I planted a whirlybird (a maple tree seed) and I've got a maple tree seedling that I repotted this afternoon (it's not very big right now, but it needs room to grow, so I put it in the biggest flowerpot I had)!

Nothing right now, but I would love to try my hand at some strawberries, maybe more permanent things as well.

This is my very first year growing ANYTHING!

    So far, I have:

    Strawberries
    Banana Pepper
    Eggplant
    Radishes
    Pumpkin

and I am going to plant:

    Watermelon
    Carrots
    Beans
    Lavender

Watching/helping things grow is such an amazing experience, I'm sad I didn't hop on this bandwagon sooner than I did!

We only got lettuce, raspberries and strawberries. Both the raspberries and strawberries have grown crazy from last year, the size of the strawberry patch has tripled from last year and we haven't even touched them yet. Homemade strawberry jam with no HFCS is the best, its the real deal.

I always grow some peppers and tomatos, can't have enough when it's warm enough for them to grow. Comfrey is great but plan for it to be around for a while. Can't seem to move it without it also coming back in it's original spot.

Lots of garlic, lettuce and peas are in now as are strawberrys. Tomatos and peppers are couple feet tall and staked, beets doing well as are loads of onions, also lots of broccolli, cabbage, kale greens and there are hundreds of flowers all about the cabin. Planted 10 fruit trees in the orchard this spring.....Lookin good thus far....:-D
