Hey just got into my first run in with the police and could use some advice on how to handle my current situation. On April 8th, me and my friends were at 7-11 aiming to buy a dutch. A cop showed up as my friend got out of the store. Just as we leave the cop comes running out of store and stops us. The policeman then goes on the he has pc bullshit cause of buying a dutch. I know we should have handled it differently because when he claiming the pc i should have just smoked the dutch. But i didnt and its why im in this situation. Anyways after threatening bringing in the dogs and all those lies police tells ppl to get the bust. Both my friends in the front seat turn around and look straight at me, like what else to do. I had the pot in my pocket, and thought about my options. I admit i was already high that night before getting together with friends so i wasnt in a great place to deal with the police. After 15 seconds of thinking i looked up they were still turned and looking towards me so i gave in and handed the police man the bag of mj. The bag had less than 1 gram in it, and when the police got it he laughed at us trying to hide it. Claiming they dont even really charge this anymore. He then went on to do what police do, make us feel bad, took down our info. And at the end said a sergeant was going to call me and he will check if i help him. He then proceeds to dump the mj and tells us to leave.. Yesterday May 3rd, i recieve a call from the sergeant and was surprised. He then told me to help myself or not. I asked him what that entailed and he first asked if the officer told me and i said no (i had my suspicions but i wanted to hear it from him). He told me to tell them who i got the pot from or they hold the option for a warrant for my arrest. I then asked him if they will seek a warrant if i dont talk. He corrected me and said they can if they want. Anyways i'm a little spooked obviously dont want to get charged and arrested. I also don't know any dealers around my area, i got the stuff from a friend and he got it thru his friends. So i dont know how to handle this and am a little spooked. Any advice would be helpful. Cliffs: - Caught at 7-11 with less than gram of mj - police on scene dump pot, tell me that sergeant will call me - sergeant calls 26 days after incident. - tells me to help myself by snitching or they can pursue a warrant.
Dont answer the phone, hang up on them. For one there probable cause was fucked from the door. You cant go after someone buying a cigar/ unless your underage with that.. id ignore them, since they dont have anything....
Don't tell. They dumped the pot, so even if they try and arrest you, no charge will stick. Deny everything and they'll have no proof.
Never talk to the police, if this guy is calling you he is fucking you with you. He knows you don't know any better. You are under no obligation to do anythng for mr. officer. Even if he knocks on your front door you don't have to so much as answer it. Pursue a warrant for what? searching your home? I would love to see them try. The whole snitch and I'll make it easy for you is stranded police BS. They have no say in your sentence, all they do is make a note in your file, so MAYBE the judge will go easy on you. But normally they use this tactic when they get a dealer, they want to go up the chain. But for them to do it over a gram is ridiculous.
tell him you'll give some info if he buys you some donuts or whatever the fuck else you want to eat...then tell him to get fucked...enjoy your donuts
Don't talk or hang up if you see the number again..do not be rude, thats just asking for trouble in the future. also, i know you were stoned, but didn't you think of just eating the gram? lol i wouldnt worry about it, Gov. Malloy is working to make simple possession a misdemeanor..
