Hey- I live and work in Stroudsburg, PA. I am originally from NJ, and have lived in many different placs in the States. (Mainly in the south) I also lived in the UK for five years. I really don't like to stay in one place too long. Unfortunately, financial issues and family drama landed me back in the Poconos in 2009. It's not the worst place in the world to be, but I know there are better places....San Francisco mainly, where I have some friends. I also think about moving to Oregon at some point. So, I would love to talk to people from different places. It seems I have gotten to see so much more of the UK than I have of my own country. I love good conversations. I have two cats. I paint in my spare time--watercolors, oil, gouache...I am sure I suck, but it's my therapeutic release. I also love to read, listen to loud music, and scout out new tattoos that my significant other forbids me to get. :-D (Apparently I have too many as it stands!) I love to laugh and make others laugh....I have a warped sense of humor....I guess that's about it. I am very much devoted to green living and all things herbal. :sunny:
Thanks!! I have been to Dublin a few times. Very friendly place with a lot of culture and beauty. And the best beer as well.
hey there. i love the poconos - spent quite a lot of time up there when i was living in philly years and years ago. welcome and enjoy the forums ps i have also been really nomadic....i find it difficult to settle anywhere and always search for new places and experiences.
I see that you are by the ocean. I want to live by the ocean at some point. As much as I will love an area, I will still get bored after a while and get curious enough to venture out and move elsewhere. My husband is not so inclined to do that--and my family worries incessantly about me. I was their black sheep gypsy until I finally got married when I was 30.. Anyway-thanks for the warm welcome. The Poconos are great. It's a cool place if you are into the outdoors, and the local music scene has some pleasant surprises once in a while.
