House or Dubstep?

I only listened to this one it's screechy and annoying.

I think when I heard this the first time was the moment I knew I did not enjoy dubstep.

I saw BJ at a festival 2 years ago loved up on Mephe, spent the whole time speaking to this random guy out of my face!! BJ were the headlining act as well.

 

I've yet to party on meph, I kind of wish I was in the UK when it was legal and popular.

 

It was crazy how popular it was, spawned so many new users seeking that loved up stim feeling.

 

Whatever I just listen to GHR every week, and download everything that is "house" from beezo.net Thats all I need/want lol. soo satisfied with my music life But yeah id love to go to some house show.

You should try to catch this guy Jimmydean or Freshdacre, I've seen him a few times now amazing everytime. He occasionally does 2x4 sets with DJ Dan that are even more amazing.

nothing is happening in that basement jax track. it just sounds like its stuck in that one loop...and then you think its gonna build up and drop, but it loops right back to where it was at the start

personally when i ever went to a "Rave" i found the music to be rather annoying as fuck. the same beat for like 9 hours i found out that i really dont like traditional techno music

i mean either way, house, dubstep. neither really matter to me. watching one dude stand up and stage rocking back and foruth bouncin up and down pressin buttons with a few cool lights remixing pre recorded music is only so fun.

i saw ott and i was terriablly disappointed. he sounded so much cooler in my mind. but just to see this one dude up on stage pressin all these buttons was just pure disappoint to all the times ive blasted off to dmt to ott, i always imaged him to be so much cooler. and he was pretty fucking awesome in my head. then when i saw him live at the end of march and it just made me laugh to reveal the truth.

fuck yeah boy, now thats getting the job done. once you see that shit live compaired to dj's nothing touchs it. ive seen lotus live 4 times just last year alone, and everytime they where better and better.

it gets really hot at about 2 minutes in ;D

probably the funnest part of my summer last year by far, and not 1 dj comes close to how badass that shit is live.

2 drummers, 2 guitars, bass, keys and only 5 people ;D

so as your dj is playing shit he made at home, adding a few effects to it, remixing it a little bouncing up and down like hes the shit. lotus is taring up the floor, creating, improvising, jamming. right there. nothing remixed, all created right there in the heat of the moment.

so fuck house and fuck dubstep both are boring as fuck live. dosent matter how loud you turn it up, dosent matter how much you bounce up and down. dj's are only a quator of what any band is.

^^^^ this post makes me very sad. theres so muchg to address in it. anyone can make a dubstep track. will it be good? prob not. producing is not djing. djing is an art form. do u dj? i kno i do. its actually very hard to read a crowd on a dancfloor to keep the energy going and to be able to mix music in its basic form is pretty easy but to actually dj a party and make people leave saying they had the greatest night of their life is a daunting task indeed. and i go to raves almost every weekend and u actually do not hear techno all that much these days. i spin funky house which is totally different than techno. techno is its own genre, just as dubstep is, and is electro, and electro house, and breaks, and electro breaks, and drum and bass, the list goes on. this poll was house or dubstep. dubstep is slowly dying thank od and the smart people are finding DnB to be better because it is. im not dissing all dubstep because there is def a lot of actual good dubstep but because anyon can torrent fruity loops anyone can say they make dubstep or any other genre and so the world is filled with shitty music. and lotus is completely and totally different than djs or producers live. lotus are an electronic jam band. which doesnt compare watsoever to a dj or a producer playing with a midi sequencer. you wanna see epicness with djs and producers? watch this

and further a dj is not what a band is. i hope you know what a dj is booked to do.......to facilitate a dance party. meant to keep a florr dancing for hours on end. when djing at a club you also have to create breakdowns so that people can have a breather and go get a beer so that the club doesnt lose money. theres a lot more to djing than i think you ever know

That Basement Jaxx is 10x more dynamic than this eskmo song and half those dubstep songs you posted.

I've seen both Lotus and STS9 live, their are some djs that tear those guys to fuckin pieces man, shut up with your shit.

 

Yeah i went to a crazy sts9 show a long time ago it was amazing light show it was dope.
