That's what everyone keeps telling me, but how would they tell? The lack of difficulty, physical strain and tears? Wouldn't that be what they are looking for, though? If someone had it together enough to realize that they didn't want that, it seems like they could hide that they actually liked it and make it look like they were tolerating it. The problem is, the purpose of the training is to make sure the soldier can perform under stress, so if this training didn't stress them, I would think it wouldn't fully work. Not that any of this matters at all... just having somewhat of a slow day, lol.
The Nazi's tested thousands of things on civilians that soldiers would face, extreme cold- heat-chemicals-torture..
they wouldnt be stressed in battle, cause there into that...super soldiers....oh shit thats freaky to think about it. soldiers who arnt stressed by war wowzers
I often thought about this and I wouldn’t think I would do good in the military for that very same reason cause if I was captured and tortured ide be killed cause they would see I liked it.
But there's no safeword on the battlefield. Sooner or later, one would realize that their life was at stake for reelz, and as the gravity of the situation sank in, I would think they would crack since they weren't properly desensitized to the emotional stress like someone who had genuinely been stressed during the training. Although people who have made it through the training sometimes hit their breaking point on the battlefield and come back fucked up, so maybe this is all a pantload, but it does seem to me like a masochist would be at a disadvantage.
i would rather imagine a great many do. masochists and sadists both. its rather hard to imagine anyone ELSE who wasn't completely brainwashed who voluntarily would. if they had any other viable alternative to doing so.
After serving in the Navy, Army and Marine Corps, I have to tell you that the military is full of them.
