I suppose i'll post some of my arts

I don't really like.. intensely draw or anything. I just draw whenever i feel like i want to draw. But i felt like posting some of my pictures, so here goes.
(I'm definately not as good as some of the other people T_T)
And since i don't have a scanner just yet you'll have to deal with my webcam pictures 0: sorry haha

The second one with the hair... i don't think i could've done it without listening to Led Zeppelin at the time. It's like i forgot myself and my hand just did everything o_o it was so weird.

I haven't really drawn many real-life people, usually it's anime/manga type drawings... so i'm trying to get into that and i think im doing pretty good so far o_o

One of my first attempts at painting.
i realized that if i dont try or aim for anything while painting i do soooo much better.

 

That one looks a lot like Yuu Tejima. Nice drawing!

 

that hair is really nice, keep working with patterns and design like htat.

also painting is kind of strange because when people go from pencil/pen to paint they try to go directly to a finished product. the key to painting is working in layers, because the medium is so easily changed with every brushstroke.

in this book im reading they said something like:
-when you begin a piece of art, the blank canvas has an infinite amount of possibilities. any brush stroke you make is not going to be wrong, but with each consequent addition, a limited number of options are available. you decrease each possible stroke for each one you make, until you make the final addition, and that addition is the ONLY possible thing to make the piece finished.

 

Not my own cartoon-- its 2D from Gorillaz. But i felt like drawing him. Its my 2nd attempt at drawing him, so i guess its fine. LOL.

 

Yes, its REALLY fucking hard to paint, for me. The only way i can paint is if i don't give a crap about what its going to be and i have to not try at all or have any direction. If i try to paint a specific thing then i screw it all up.
So i usually never paint. Thats my first painting that came out nice. XD
