Hey guys, I thought I'd start off by introducing myself.. My name is Melanie, I'm 20 years old, married to an awesome Guy, and I have a perfect baby boy... I've been thinking about dreading my hair for a few years now, and I've finally made the decision to actually do it (yay me!). I'm gonna be doing the twist and rip method, don't worry, I've decided against wax... but I've got a few questions about shampoo. My biggest question is about dry shampoo. I don't plan on dreading my bangs, because I've never not had bangs. Never. Anyway, my bangs tend to get a little greasy looking if I even go one day without shampooing, and as I understand it I'm going to need to keep from.shampooing too often so my locs don't get mildewy. I was just wondering if there are any brands of dry shampoo that are safe if I get some on my locks when I'm spraying my bangs. If there aren't, what about baby powder or anything similar? My next question... I like the smell of smelly good shampoo, so I'm wondering what are some.great natural shampoos that are residue.free that use natural scents instead of perfumy smells. Its pretty important to me that my locs smell good. I just hate the smell of unwashed hair. Any help.and.suggestions are welcome. Price is really not an issue. Thank you so much!
first of all welcome! if your bangs gets greasy, get your dreads out of the way and wash it. I wash my bangs every other day and my deads twice a week, so no need of dry shampoo. And if you want natural shampoo you can make your own, with your favorite scents
If you don't want to make your own, Dr Bronners is a god shampoo, just dilute it with 1 part shampoo, 12 parts water !!
