hey whats up, im from cali, but right now find myself in "Gods Country". Just chillin having a cool time. will be here for the rest of the summer. been going to the fairs n stuff. Yeah I have not heard much happening here or much rainbow family here in Alberta...but if there is some interest maybe we can arrange a get together or camp in spring or summer?
I have searched here and there for information on where I might attend a Rainbow gathering, as I have had some friends (many years back) attend gatherings, I have come to understand that I may be able to connect with like minded people, who may share some of the same views and values as myself. That's all I got for now, this is my very first post,
alot in quebec, and theres usually a council or something small going on on vancouver island, I was out at one in...nitnat west island years ago, last I heard of a gathering in bc was on saltspring... but quebec has one every year in northern quebec, usually a pretty good turn out. a few years back I heard of one in manitoba, and I wouldnt be surpirsed, winnopeg has a lot of family. ... hope you find your rainbow road, canadas gatherings are a lot smaller then the ones stateside...but they last longer and are way more personable...and I have yet to see a A camp in canada... peace

Hello, Ladybirdhawk. I am in Grande Prairie, 30/M and am in fact looking to connect with people in Alberta. You have mentioned something about having a camp sometime this summer, and I've got some good ideas about that, if you're interested.

I hear about these little communities of growers living off the land and just spending their time kayaking, fishing, mountain biking and such. My friend spend some time on vancouver island, and cause of the heat they have fires in the crevice of a mountain at nite and hunt with bow & arrows, most of the fertiliser comes from seaweed. They even dive for certain types of seaweed. They build their houses out of clay and fiber bricks usually earth-sheltered and covered in moss, they dry and manicure their bud in them then part ways. I'm from T.O., me and my friends are desperate to try this as an expairament or life style my brother wants to buy land out there when he's done college
