Hello people I have recently started using all organic cosmetics, organic non tested on animals makeup and even organic tampons. But I know sounds like i'm getting into it too much but I hope organic products aren't tested on animals are they? And essenitial oils and incense sticks are they tested on animals?

The US doesn't have strict standards for Organic products. If a product states it is not tested by animals, I don't think there are any loopholes there, I'm sure they are not tested on animals. But just because something is certified as organic doesn't mean its 100% all-natural or organic. From what I understand, USDA certified organic has the most stringent standards so you should be good as long as you make sure it is USDA certified

edit: I just noticed you are from Wales, so nevermind lol

Well I have checked on my products and they are not animal tested. Vitamin tablets and evening prim rose oil tablets aren't animal tested are they?

and get a moon cup. Google it as they are sold in the UK. Way better than tampons or sea sponges. They last up to ten years. I've had mine for six and it is still, well, um, works.

I use Maxim Hygiene organic tampons because they are completely cruelty free (aka not tested on animals!) and they're a little bit easier to use than the moon cup. Hope this helps :)

It takes a little searching but you can always find lists of what USDA regulations there are and what certain statements mean (for U.S. users). Otherwise you can also research the companies that make the products you make.

Organic IS THE BEST,the trouble is they are trying to do away with it because they want you having food WITH GARBAGE IN IT :( (Sure seems like it)

I know this is an older thread, but in the US, according to the organic standards here, products only have to be 70% organic to carry the "organic" certification. So they are not 100 percent organic if certified by the Feds. Also, at least in Washington state, farmers can have an organic farm within 30 feet of a farm that uses herb, pest, and insect 'icides. I doubt a lot of what is sold as organic is really very organic at all.
