has anyone ever listened to rap on a psychedelic? i feel like to most people it would be a waste of time but has anyone actually ever tryed this? something like biggie or wiz khalifa some one you can have a good time listening to while smoking weed. i can only imagine...
No. I generally find myself listening to music with few vocals when on a psychedelic. I am attracted to abstract, strange music like atonal classical music of the 1930s and some progressive rock that is mainly instrumental from the early 1970s. I have thought about listening to rap just for the hell of it, but I rarely listen to it anyways, and I didn't want to waste time in my trip with something that I probably would find awful due to the excessive focus on vocals and the overall "rough" nature of it. That being said, I like atonal music which is extremely "rough", so maybe I'll through in an intellectually stimulating rap next time I take a psychedelic.
I listened to this song on 4-AcO-DMT a couple of nights ago and it blew my mind. It's probably unlike any rap any of you have ever heard. Very intelligent and deep and it's INSANE on psychedelics. Listen VERY closely to what he's saying. Yeah, TopNotch, I think that it would be really cool and enlightening to review the subset of hiphop that is really technical and intellectual while tripping. It is amazing to hear that type of rap since we are bombarded (on the surface) by the commercialized crap rap!

I DARE you to listen to this during a trip. It's straight demonic/evil. It's also screwed, so it's VERY slow and the dude sounds eggzakly like a demon. Some parts are better than others, so listen to the whole thing. I listened to it on ~60-70mg of 2ce a few nights ago and almost lost my mind. I have enjoyed rap on Ecstasy, 2cb, and 5 meo mipt. I listened to that first song TNS posted on LSD and did not enjoy it and rap is usually not the first type of music I look to when tripping.
Me neither. I tend to activate the random shuffle option on my music player at the beginning of a trip so it may play some hip-hop from time to time. I like not to know what I'm going to listen to next and am often surprised to have the perfect music at the right time. Once I had the record By the Throat from Eyedea&Abilities playing while I was far down the rabbit hole. It was great, I had goosebumps all over just listening to it.
