anyone know about this. i was watching a documentary on the history channel today and it said that a woman named Lilith was thought to be Adams' first wife? they said that this might be hinted somewhere in the bible. anyone know where this is referenced?
I know about Lilith, but I'm not religious. She's a figure of Jewish mythology, and she isn't mentioned in the Bible (though there are some that believe she is referenced). You can read about it here on Wikipedia.
... Firstly, he said on Cheers. Second of all; you've never seen it and refuse to watch it? Why? It was one of the best sitcoms of the 90s.
Duck, I agree with both your posts. Lilith as a female being is not found in the Bible, but in the Talmud. Lilith as a Hebrew word meaning some sort of night bird is in the Bible, and is occasioanlly left untranslated. 2) Frasier is awesome.
I remember watching something about her and they said that in ancient times women would wear charms that protected them from Lilith. They believed that she had something to do with causing them to miscarry cause she was punished by god to know the pain of child birth but never the joy of mother hood or some bull shit.
my fault. i meant cheers. i've actually never watched either one. I just don't like frasier and im too young for cheers.
I always watched Cheers reruns when I was little *shrug* I haven't seen a full episode in years, but yeah
Agreed, Fraiser is the bomb digity dawg I loved the episode where Fraiser tried to help his dad solve a long standing case and had this theory about a monkey... lol
