Adam and Lilith before Adam and Eve??

anyone know about this. i was watching a documentary on the history channel today and it said that a woman named Lilith was thought to be Adams' first wife? they said that this might be hinted somewhere in the bible. anyone know where this is referenced?

She's a figure of Jewish mythology, and she isn't mentioned in the Bible (though there are some that believe she is referenced).

Lilith as a female being is not found in the Bible, but in the Talmud. Lilith as a Hebrew word meaning some sort of night bird is in the Bible, and is occasioanlly left untranslated.

I remember watching something about her and they said that in ancient times women would wear charms that protected them from Lilith.
