Well, start with getting the name right--it's "naturist". A naturalist goes around looking at bugs and moss. But maybe some naturalists are naturists too.

There is a Naturist Society that you might like to look at:

And, uh, capital letters. Any hope?

probably has more to do with wanting to fuck someone, and less to do with wanting to be a naturist.

Then why are you doing it if you don't want to be naked all the time? Isn't that what naturist do? I do!

Dude, you just need to accept that while you're living in your parents' home you're not a totally free agent. You just need to wait a couple of years. I know that sounds like an eternity when you're in your teens but it isn't really.

Hey mate, talk it through with your parents. At the end of the day it's your body, your right to do with it what you want. Naturism isn't about sex or pervy behaviour, it's just doing a number of everyday things without clothes on. Plus there are times when clothing is necessary - do you really think the idea of frying your breakfast without some form of protection is sensible?

You might also like to talk to other young nudists on this site http://www.internationalyn.org - let them know I referred you. :)

I say talk to your parents. That is why they are there for. The might understand you. If you confront them, hopefully, they will know that you are trying to open to them and share your feelings. If they are open about it they will let you or let you do it in certatin areas. My son is not completely open minded of me seeing him. He spends his time alone and he acknowledges that he spends it naked. Atleast, I know what's going on and allow his privacy. Maybe time he he will open to walk around. He even admits when he gets his place, he won't wear clothes. So good luck!

How come your son is paranoid about you seeing him nude?

It's that time of growing for him. He's worry about his size, looks and hard ons,

A guy who is 18 is almost on the cusp of legal age of consent. He/she can look after him/herself. Most kids have had sex before they are 15. Others have gone and got stoned on drugs, soft, hard or both. And here we have an example of parents who may freak out because their 18 year old son wants to become a naturist. Overbearing parents need to realise there is a cut off time up to which they can allow their kids liberal or free reign. After that, the kids can do what they want. I moved out of home when I was 17, lived the naturist lifestyle in the bush, in the city and small towns, worked, supported myself and came the full circle as recently as 2002 — around 24 years after I first left home. None of what I experienced changed my desire to be a naturist, which is now my lifestyle, save for the winter months.

If you know of a free beach (that means a nude beach) you could experiment with a nude swim. I think 18 year olds are of sufficient build to not automatically be taken as "kids" in the strict sense and unlikely to be hassled. But those first steps, using a nude beach, can serve as an ice-breaking moment to ease you into the groove.

Erections are common at your age but once you stop thinking about it this minor niggle will disappear, but it's important that you do stop thinking about it when this does happen — especially on a beach, where visible erections can make you persona non grata, irrespective of some posts elsewhere on this forum that woulde say it is OK. No, not for solo guys!

Biggles, the OP says that he is not 18 - in fact he doesn't say how old he is. So while your advice is perfectly sensible for genuine 18-year-olds it doesn't necessarily apply here.
