I copied a friends nft system who has been growing successfully for quite a while, same lights, feeds, air extraction etc and I also used cuttings from his mother. They all rooted through 3in cubes ok in a propagator but when I transplanted them into the system, all new growth was bright yellow but the original leaves stayed green. All the plants grew to about 10in within 2-3 weeks. I check and adjust the Ph (5.8 to 6.0) and EC (18 to 20) daily, timers are on 18/7, temperature is kept at 65 to 70 lights off and 75 to 80 lights on, humidity stays between 35 to 45%. What is wrong? Our water supply comes from different parts of the country, could trace elements be the cause? The EC of my water supply is 10 before adding any nutrients whereas his is only 4.
Can one of you old hands advise, as my gardening expertise is about zero.

    Hi
The EC seems a bit high for such young plants. You may be getting Nitrogen lock out. Try reducing it to around 1.4. Also how often do you run the pump ? Were there plenty of root showing when you transplanted them?

Try cutting the pump down to 15 minutes every hour while the lights are on.
As your'e in the UK have a look at http://www.uk420.com. Lots of info and help there. :)
