hey people, i know there is already one brief thread on the subject however i went shrooming this morning> after the potent and lovely psilocybe subaeruginosa (as live in eastern australia) anyways no luck with the subs yet (may not be cold enough for them they like nightime temps of low single digits and no more than 18 celcius during the day) however, did find quite a few sizable Amanita muscarias which were quite stunning to witness in their natural habitat (under dense bracket and pine needles) popping up all over the place solitary striking red and white caps. so right now have some of the lovely looking shrooms drying done a fair bit of research now on muscimol and ibotenic acid (the active principles) and read a few TRs for amanitas, considering trying them at a low dose but just wondering if any of you guys have some stories you'd like to share.. if i do i most certainly will post a TR for everyone. thanks guys:sunny: PS pics not my own my bastard phone is stuffing up so was not able to upload the pics i got.
this pic relays just how prolific subaeruginosa can be, and they are in the top-notch echilon of psilocybin content beaten only by azurescens and cambodigensis and several other exotic members.
As I understand it, amanita, pretty as they are, are (quite literally, possibly) brain damaging, heavy body loading, disorienting, stoning, sort of toxic pretend drugs that don't allow proper functioning, but don't have anything to exchange for your function, either. I mean, they LOOK badass, and if presented with them, I'd probably try them once or twice. But don't expect too much, as I understand it.
i dunno Roor i'm inclined to agree but after reading some of the TRs out there and especially low dose TRs it seems to be a stimulant at lower dose with lttle or no nausea then going to higher dose turns bad quickly, like delirium, vomiting, followed by scary hallucinations.. though apparently after heating ibotenic acid will convert to muscimol through decarboxylation and this can help negate bad effects... i'd still like to hear from someone with experience before i discard them.
yellow/ reds.... I noms ... I nom them fresh.. I nom them dry. Hope to have some pic's my next finds..
Whats confusing?./.. i believe the hallucination shit is hype., Dont want kiddies eat Santa Clause shrooms..
hmm good point. perhaps this thread was inconsiderate of me. note to all. FLY AGARICS are dangerous quite possibly neurotoxic and will make you vomit DO NOT EAT THEM ill tell you what if i do decide to try this i'll pm you my results..
this is not true.. possibly less a stomach concern than DMX coung syrup.. And so possibly safer to those that pick the correct one.. ./ as only 3 of the species are really truely work pickin. Panthers they can be sometimes confuse with blusher.. Blusher are said to be ediable after cooking.. Panhters are the strongest....
I've heard tell of smoking the skins. I also saw hamilton smoke them. I think the "good" effects are supposted to be about the same, with some lesser "bad" ones. And I think the transformation you mentioned is theoretically going to prevent brain damage... or quite as much..... the ibotenic acid is supposted to be bad shit, I thought. I know it looks like I'm really talking them down, but I would do them, I've done some things like dex that, even if more damaging, I would tend to value a little less.... so have at it, and report back, them alkaloids ain't intoxicating themselves
Well I have a strong suspicion that fox news does the same. These things will give you less brain damage than the average conservative child in an american household, watching TV with the folks, receives each evening :2thumbsup:
three posters, two pages :2thumbsup: How'd I confuse you? By the way, if you don't know hamilton, you should go watch his "SiHKAL" video, he's kinda a douchebag spoiled rich kid, but looks like he has potential, if he takes enough drugs It's sad that shulgin gave him the interview instead of someone else, but it's still good. Look for shulgins I have known and loved and you should find it. I was reminded because while on a free trip to iceland (which he spent doing very little other than bitching about how shitty his free trip was) he ended up smoking these things.
yes, the subject doesn't seem to gain much attention lol can't be a bad thing i suppose.. oh sihkal huh yea i'll check it out thanx Roor i'm straalian so i get confused easily ok!!
amanitas for me = mind trip if you can ignore/accept the negative bodily effects (i.e. chills, nausea, sweating, salivation...) it is interesting and enjoyable. Takes a while to kick in, and for me, a bit of mj puts it into overdrive. I've only every tried dried amanitas, and I think that that makes a big difference compared to fresh ones.... Be cautious and calm, and a good trip will ensue.
