Im sorry to hear about your loss. I don't know what your personal beleifs are on life after death but as a spiritual person Ill share my ideas with you. Im not affiliated with any sort of a religion but from my own personal ideas I think that this earthly life is just a small part of a bigger, more beautifull picture. A whole lifetime in our earthbound, human bodies is only a stepping stone to learn and grow from in the scheme of things, whatever it may be. Something our brains cant comprehend. But I beleive that beyond the phsysical their is something more to us. Maybe the earth is just our learning grounds for something bigger and better. Anyway, I don't want to ramble but to your "what is the point of it all" question, maybe we wont know until it's our turn to go, or maybe the answer has been burried somewhere deep inside us all. Sorry to stray a bit but I hope you find the answers you need in time.
there is no death. just a change of worlds. look at it as an adventure. the final frontier? i believe in reincarnation and therefore see life as a learning process where i'll continue to graduate (die?) and go to a higher, more advanced life if i passed the previous one. otherwise i must repeat it. life and death = eternal and help my being to advance to eventual self-actualisation. read some, if u r truly interested: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dp5/death.htm http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dp5/reincar.htm there is no wrong or right religion or creed. u r god. u decide where u go and when.
all i have to say is that you live and you die. life has no point, you're just supposed to enjoy it while you're alive and set a good example for those who will follow you. no matter what you do, you are still gonna die...so dont fret, its a waste of your precious life. just live! live and love....in peace. yup. get out and enjoy yourself!
