How come my best friend doesn't like my kid's father?

He's not perfect. He had one child taken by CPS due to abuse and he nearly had ours taken as a result. And he can be possessive and very jealous and he did get my friend to believe he was going to commit suicide. He did get mad at her for apologizing to me once and he does tell my friends they're not allowed to say 'I love you' to me, but he is my kid's father. Why doesnt she like him?
