    Prologue

I gathered together 3 feet of San Pedro with the intent to plant some new cacti. I think this is a beautiful Cactus and would have looked great as an ornament outside my apartment. Here is my cacti layed out next to a 10 1/2 inches tall vertical textbook. [IMG] I was obviously ecstasic about being able to plant my cactus in the morning. Morning came and I had to run some errands before hand, eventually when it came to about 2:00 o clock I decided to plant my cacti. Unfortuantely I slipped and the cacti flew into a blender (somehow I managed to do this 2 more times). There was a 1/2 foot of cacti left which i ended up discarding as it's other part was no longer with it. I just looked at my blended cacti and decided to pour it into a pan to save the blender, I had an old t-shirt over the pan because I didn't want to ruin the pan with this disgusting concotion that I just created. Unfortunately, Alot of the material slipped through the t shirt except for some of the pulp, I decided to throw the t-shirt out. Looking down at this green concotion I just made, I remembered an old wives tail that some cactus supposedly have 'healing' properties. I had a headache from all the events that had taken place this afternoon and I was out of advil so I figured why not? The taste of the stuff was probably comparable to the best milk shake or jamba juice i've ever had x 2, certainly something to savor and I would not be surprised if this stuff makes it to the Mcdonalds menu soon.

    The Trip
It took exactly 2 hours to come up. I came up in my room and the intial signs was a heavyness in the stomach which some may consider nausea, it's more of a 'full' feeling to me. After about 15 minutes the nausea gave way to euphoria, extremely mdma like in nature except not quite as forceful. I went to the bathroom and was noticing shades of colors getting lighter and darker. I usually don't get visual effects this early into the trip so I was quite surprised. I put on my headphones and decided to go for a walk.

On the way walking out of the apartments I heard a little kid say "Ready Set Go" and it seemed perfectly placed as my trip really began to take hold. I put my ipod on random and the first song that played was Younger Brother-Crumblenaut which can be heard here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pXEQQLSFNk"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pXEQQLSFNk

The hypnotic tone of the song had the colors of the plants around me dance in sync. Nothing outside looked distorted it looked brightened and crisp. The size of objects was effected though as some flowers looked larger than I know they actually wore. Some white geometric lines appeared in front of me as almost holographic. I finally made my way to this trail, the first thing I noticed was a set of ants marching and it immediately triggered in my mind a recent trip report posted by Goodvibes. I was listening to Shpongle's 'Star Shpongled Banner' and it came to the part where a guy says 'The mind Has a thousand eyes', again it seemed perfect for that moment.

Nature seemed to be radiating with energy perfectly at this time of the year and everything nature wise felt it was in it's right place. A couple more pictures from the trail I found of interest.

Heading back from the trail I started getting anxious and bad thoughts entered my mind. I started really contemplating some of the drugs i've chose to use and abuse such as 4 meo pcp and some other bad decisions i've made lately in general. The mescaline simply would not let me escape from these thoughts for the next 2 hours. I found great sensuality and emotion in the experience but at the same time my mind was not set adrift in absurd thoughts, it was focused on very real limitations and personal faults. San Pedro is often referred to as a subtle experience and I would agree but in no way does that mean it can't be challenging and difficult.

I went back to my apartment and tried to relax a bit. I took a shower and that as I was expected was amazing and got me back on track mentally a bit. The tactile sensation of the water dripping down your body on mescaline is incredibly euphoric, I took an extended shower and managed to do other things in there that were VERY PLEASUREABLE but i'll spare the details.

I enjoy music here and there on mescaline but I don't really enjoy it as much as on some other psychedelics. I decided to lay down and close my eyes and basically meditate lying down. I had my legs make a diamond shape and connect, for whatever reason this position seems to work fairly well for meditation, not quite as well as the traditional position though. The CEV's on Mescaline are among the finest there are, powerful waves shoot off in different directions and abstract figures interacting with each other. The designs and figures maintain themselves for awhile to, one can almost hold them there if they so wish. They interact with the increased tactile sensation and feel as if they almost caress your being. The last opened eye hallucination I had of the night was when I went to go pee my door seemed to shrink down into the floor out of the corner of my eye. There are alot of corner of the eye hallucinations i've noticed on mescaline.

At about 11 p.m. a slight feeling of euphoria was all that remained. There is a feeling i get with mescaline that I want to dig deeper on it. I've only had worthwhile experiences with it but it has something allusive about it that I feel I have not touched yet. San Pedro seems guided by some spirit or force outside yourself, it shows whimsical glistening beauty in nature and can help you stand back and notice strenghts and faults. Today I feel rejuvinated, very at ease and cleansed on the inside.

nice report man. I really love the pictures of your trail too. have you tried other trichocereus specie teas? I have not had any tea at all, only extracted peruvian torch. The different species have different alkaloids in them but I'm sure you know this but can you compare them for me by chance if you have tried others?

No I haven't tried any others. I think I might try one of the others next time . I'm not sure how it works exactly but the largest cutting I tried from this specimen was the same portion I tried from the same specimen late last year, so I'm thinking it wasn't fully matured or something. It was still a powerful experience but i felt it was going to hit more visually. This stuff is growing 'wild' so while I want to try the others, this stuff is alot more readily at my disposal, and its free.

your lucky enough to even have wild specimens growing in your area. They sound like they are definately worth the price lol. I'm not really sure how they all compare exaclty but I'm pretty sure if your gonna make tea the bridgesii has the best overall alkaloid makeup out of the trichocereus genus.

Found from your link in... I forget which thread.

The second to last picture is very good, as is the report overall. I'm becoming rather interested in mescaline.

I wish I had wild san pedro here. That would simplify some of my current schemes, which I think I mentioned to you, actually.

Enjoy those free any-time-ya-please smoothies :p

I remember when I use to prepare the tea like that. Its hella tasty. right! its been awhile for me but thank you for traveling and sharing your experience with us.

now i dry the skins and blend a 100gs in the blender. then i cook it 3x with water and juice from a freshly squeezed lemon. 6 cups water + juice of one lemon dropped my digital ph reader from 7.3 to 2.3. 1 foot fresh cactus = 50gs of dried skins.

just simmer 100gs with 3cups lemon water for 20 min. pour off water through strainer. recook cactus with 1.5 cups and repeat another 1.5 cup cook for a total of 3 cooks.

gather all 3 cooks and allow sediment to settle and pour off the tea from sediment through fine mesh to catch any excess sediment.

then simply reduce on med low heat until you have a 8oz coffee cup worth.

freeze the tea in a ziplock sandwhich bag or plastic water bottle until ready to use.

when ready to use defrost the baggie abit then reheat tea in a small pot. or allow tea to drefost overnite in your bottle. pour in coffee cup and sip it hot or drink it out on the trail in your water bottle. It makes it a little easier to consume and control the naseua when you sip it warm. it took me awhile to learn to sip it slow so i dont retch it all up.

this tea tek works great for making ayahuasca too!

I know exactly what you mean, i dont just feel a desire to dig deeper into it, i feel an obligation. It has a very mysterious element to it, and i feel like if you get to know him he will tell you all of his secrets.
Sounds like your experience was alot more enjoyable than mine lol. Its like Aldous Huxley says, "This can take you to heaven, or it can take you to hell. Or if your lucky, it will take you beyond both of them." It can feel warm and inviting, like an embrace of a loved one, but then it can whip around before you even know it and show you absolute horror. It has a certain wickedness to it.
