Mixing Fluoxetine and Wellbutrin

There both anti depressants so i was wondering if it would be bad to mix them? A 300mg wellbutrin and a 150mg fluoxetine.. I weight 125 pounds and am a male

 

The only one of those meds that has even a shred of recreational value is the Wellbutrin. The fluoxetine (prozac) isn't recreational.

Wellbutrin from what I understand is related to amphetamines so if you snort it, you will get a speedy, euphoric type buzz. If sniffing isn't your thing, you can chew it and wash the pill taste out with a drink so it hits you faster.

 

SSRI's/SSNI's aren't recreational. Why are you taking these medications alone, let alone trying to mix them?

A comparison of bupropion SR (150 mg) and caffeine (178 mg) indicated that caffeine may have higher abuse liability since it resulted in more reports of pleasant feelings and a "high" than bupropion.

bupropion = Wellbutrin

 

Actually Wellbutrin is a special kind of anti-deppressant that works like an amphetamine so it is somewhat recreational. I've done it before and have gotten a good speedy type buzz with some minor hallucinations

 

Read my post that I edited. People suggest that caffeine gives them a stronger buzz.

Abusing anti-depressants for a low chance of catching a placebo buzz doesn't seem worth it. Leave these medications for people who really need them. They aren't listed as narcotics for a reason...even the US doesn't deem them "abusable," and they think EVERYTHING is.

 

Yeah I know not to abuse Wellbutrin. I enjoyed the few times I did it, but its not like i was going out looking for it. My brother's friend had a perscription and he heard it gave a speed type buzz but didnt wanna try it cause hes more into downers. So he ended up giving me a couple

 

I've been on 30mg/day of fluoxetine, and I was just prescribed an unknown amount of bupropion yesterday. I'm waiting to see how this mix works out for legitimate use.
