The downtowns in most of the bigger towns/cities in Pa are pretty cool. I love West Chester. Philly is the sit. There are a lot of cool pockets, you just have to look for them right.
so i as well live in Shitsylvania... and love it here. this is home to me. you cant dislike your home other wise you are going to be miserable. if you are so unhappy with PA... move. thats what i did at 18. moved out to Washington state. @lover/young peace- the most beautiful rainy days are in Seattle, please visit if you have the chance... but im interested in meeting new folks in the Harrisburg area and its surrounding towns. the summer is getting ready to start and im looking for a new beginning. this will be my first summer in PA as the new and improved me. taking fresh breaths and trying to branch out.
Hey, PA is a HUGE state! Sure some parts are redneck or boring, but you can't generalize a whole state by the town you live in! I live in Bucks County PA and there are tons of nice people and beautiful places and great things to do!
I think Pennsylvania is a pretty cool state. I like how we get to experience each season pretty in-depth here. Plus the landscape of the state is pretty cool..mountains, hills, valleys, cool views.. it's pretty nice if you think about it. The people can be.. ehhhh, but you just gotta choose who you hang with. There are definitely some cool people around..who are opened minded, and not douchebags. But.. I live in south-eastern PA.. pretty close to Reading. It's a decent area, there's not always that much to do though..and it kinda is more slow paced then the city, which i don't really like that much. Though there's some parties in the area.. like at Albright..Alvernia.. Penn-State Berks colleges..etc.. and a few malls, lots of shopping plaza's and resturaunts.. basically your typical suburban areas. Though there are some nice area's around where i live..google works center for the arts is a pretty cool place. Though, I often find myself in philly a lot due to having friends that attend college there...it's also not that bad of a drive (like a little over a hour). But center city philly is awesome! Had some great times down there.. went to various parties, concerts, roamed south street, walked in parks.. there are some awesome area's and people. Though i'm moving up to New York for college in the fall, as I love it up there too! .. changing things up.. but i won't forget PA! haha
I find PA to be quite beautiful. I do find most places I go to beautiful. I hate the suburb I live in with a passion, I often tell my daughter's father that I feel like I'm an anthropologist or the viewer of doccumentary about suburban life in America. I don't like the weather much. I like the rain, but will never get used to the winter. I come from the sun and when it's gone, I miss it. I've met a few amazing people here and consider them my family. I like Philly too, but I'm a city girl at heart.
your roads suck, and ur court system is fucked, they dont play around in pennsylvania, ur cops are dicks, and all maryland drivers hate each and every one of you!!!
porkchop everything you said is absolutely true- our cops are fascist above the law psychotics, we are like THE most conservative state in america, everyone is a smug, humorless, judgemental pedant, OMG I HATE PA!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to a school in Devon for about a year and it wasnt bad!! Phili seemed like a nice city (Although i didnt see much of it)
You live right in the heart of it. Most've central PA might's'well be in the midwest. Near a lot of the colleges and in Pittsburgh and Philly there's a much more liberal atmosphere.
I actually played the song really loud, I think my neighbors could hear it.. They were probably happy the screaming guitar sound stopped.. btw it is liberal in Pittsburgh to some extent.. Ill agree with Duck and Philly Ive only visited. Its ok too..
