Blues and R&R owe a lot to that man who allegedly sold his soul.

That's awesome, do you know if he'll be going on tour soon?

But seriously though, I love this song here:

dude, robert johnson is responsible for the death of kurt cobain, jim morrison, jimi hendrix, janis joplin, and some other folks that died at 27. If he didn't sell his soul at the crossroads in exchange for dying young, maybe we would now have the luxury of seeing kurt cobain on a where are they now vh1 special.

fuck robert johnson and his soul-selling music.

just kidding. robert johnson is really awesome.

At least robert johnson sold his soul for musical expression instead of money and fame like most current popular "musicians"

I don't think he was killed in a bar fight. As I recall, he was poisoned by the husband of the woman he was "entertaining".

She might be thinking of leadbelly

Edit: Well ok Leadbelly didn't get stabbed but he did stab someone.

Robert Johnson was poisoned by a jealous bar owner. He ended up drinking strychnine that was put in his drink. He died an agonizing death three days later on August 16th, 1938. He was 27 years old. He is acknowledged as a Blues Master and a huge influence on contemporary rock music.
