For me this site has become the new Facebook. It's addictive AND it's a lot more interesting.. Hurrah! I've been thinking of getting rid of my facebook for a while.. i've done it twice but something always pulls me back. Curiosity mostly. And it's much easier to plan group events and check up on who your other half has been interacting with :D I joke (or do i...?) But what i was wondering is what you folks feel about facebook? Is it just as easy to stay in touch without it?

Well, I don't have a phone so that's usually how I organise stuff. It's also nice to keep in touch with all the people I know although I only talk to a handful of them. I've gone without it for a while and it's not hard. But it's good to have it.

I feel like you can benefit a lot from facebook. Really, it's up to the user what you use it for. You can update constantly, or you can barely update at all and maybe use it to spread news, whatever.
Also, the way you use it to keep up with people. You can use it for networking purposes, getting in touch with people you haven't talked to in years, helping maintain relationships that you might not be able to otherwise.

It's all up to the user. I say keep it.

What bugs me though is the people who say that they're deleting there's because they're "addicted" to it. That's YOUR fault, not the site's. Choose not to check it all the damn time. You're cutting off something that has good potential by giving the excuse that you're addicted to it?
Well, don't be. There are ways to fix that. lol.

anyways, but that's not your reasoning, that's just me ranting. lol
