I signed up for a half-marathon right when I quit. It gave me a reason to need my lungs.

I've gotta quit, but luckily I'm down to a pack every few days because I can't smoke in my new apartment. Next step is to just wake up one morning and say "I'm done!"

i smoked a pack a day for five years up until about two years ago. i still bum one here and there, but am not smoking daily anymore. nicorette fruit chill gum did it for me.

i really do love cigarettes though. theyre so relaxing and comfortable. id still be smoking if they weren't so damn bad for you. i wonder how those e-cigs are on your lungs.

    Electronic cigarette

and i dont smoke. I have in the past, but never got into a big habit. These days i never ever buy packs. If i want a cig after diesel or something, ill have one then, but otherwise i dont really touch em'.

Good luck to all trying to quit, two of my uncles are trying to stop. For one he has been substituting with nicotine gum for a WHILE now. Idk how healthy that even is..

Last time I quit smoking, I used regular gum...sugarless. It really helped because it kept my mouth busy (keep your sick jokes to yourself) and I stayed occupied on the flavor of the gum as opposed to the flavor of cigarette in my mouth.

even now, when I can't have a cigarette for a long period of time, gum helps. Granted, I'm going through about a pack of gum a week now, its worth it (I never chew gum ever)

Electronic cigs work. My old lady smoked for 20 years and she quit using the blu cig...I'm so proud of her.

I managed to quit for three months, was even at the point where the smell sickened me, but I went to stay with my nan after she had a stroke and ended up smoking again ... the stroke made her really aggressive and mean and she chain smokes, so between the stress and the passive smoking I started again. I've promised my little one I'll quit after my exam next month (revising with cravings, no thanks!) but I'm really not looking forward to it.

I went through lots of those bags of bite sized Dairy Milk last time, it was the only thing that seemed to work, so I recommend those to anyone trying to quit ... just don't blame me if your jeans don't fit afterwards :leaving:
