Sounds to me like she was just having a lonely day and was feeling a little insecure. Send her some flowers. That will rekindle her faith in your love and help smooth the waters until you can convince her in person.

Sounds a bit like someone is trying to manufacture justification for having the upper hand in the relationship.

We talked for a real long time, communication is key (duh) but often so easily forgotten or neglected or ignored.

She just feels like we moved too fast (we were engaged), wants to slow down, felt like it was too much responsibitly, that kind of stuff. You know, the whole "young person being kind of scared of these really deep emotions that came on so strong and quickly" scenario. Anyway, we came to understand each other more. Funny how a few hours of skype will do that after so much is said and misunderstood just by typing for so many days.

I dunno, I think we (as in the people in this thread) approach this topic from our own perspective and culture and she is from a totally different place.

 

Emotions can be confusing and everyone has their own (sometimes strange) way of showing them. I know a lot of people that have a hard time expressing or talking about them (myself included)

You two have to keep a very open communication through this time, like you did on skype. And really listen to each other
