I work at home. I have a toddler and new baby. I work all day and all night. I get a break right after they go to bed around 8pm to 10pm - maybe. I'm at home for a year at least, hope to try and make it longer.
Learned that one the hard way a few weeks ago...assholes. Luckily I did get an awesome job offer...just waiting for a position to open up
I work for a bank. My official title is a service consultant. The reality is I work in a call center, where I answer about 150 calls. I'd day the vast majority of the calls are speaking with idiots who do not know the difference between a debit and a credit card. It sucks mucho balls, but it allows for a flexible schedule. I am in my senior year finishing up my undergrad in human resources, so hopefully a job will fall upon me in that particular department. I suppose I could always transfer within my job, but seeing as I cannot wait to get off this rock, I doubt that will happen. The pay is shitty but the benefits are alright.
I are retired. Hopefully everyone here working will make retirement and not have to work anymore (if, of course, that is their wish).
Before I got laid off, I used to operate a truck that looked just like this: The pay was good, and the work was never boring. We set poles for the power company, the phone company, and the state (for traffic lights). Best job I ever had. The only bad part was working outdoors in winter.
Retired in Dec. 2008. Haven't done anything "productive work like" yet since then. I picture doing something someday; but I'm still in the "enjoying not having to do shit [work wise]" phase of my retirement. edit: lol i forgot i just posted not far back in this thread. oops
