    Hi guys,

just now i decided to mix up my Baking Soda/ ACV and try some dr-bonners 18-1 hemp lavender pure-castile soap..

i have used Bicarb for a long time now but something has just come up which worries me,

In the shower i dont usually scrub my head coz i been told not too but leave to soak,,

just now if i get my finger nail and "itch" my scalp there is a white substance that gets under and on my fingernail.. Now is this becuase i have just used Dr bonners [bought 8months ago] orrr is there something here that i really need to be concerned with?

    All the best

    Alex

    EDIT***

I feel like it's a waxy substance you know?? i have to scratch at my head under the dreadlocks to see, and there seems to a lot of it,, am i just freaking out over simple soap build up, or somehow is this actual wax, that is on my scalp since the week1 when i used the stuff

How much did you dilute it?

put a couple of squirts in a 500ml coke bottle, rest water, with shake up.

    even wetted hair first

Did you ever do the scalp scratch test before?
I've heard a lot that your scalp needs time to adjust to changing shampoo.
My Dr. Bronners is so diluted that I hardly get any lather. I found when it was lathering up a lot that it left gunk behind

You don't just have a really oily scalp do you? Mine used to get all oily and sticky and gross, but it's hasn't been like that for quite a while now.

    It may be,

If i scratch the scalp, when wet the substance is light and white,

dried a little it goes darker colour,

If it's gunky stuff, you're probably working too much of it in and not rinsing enough out...if its your scalp reacting try the tea tree bronners. that's my favorite.

tea tree oil always helped my scalp problems.

Just a thought, maybe the gunk is stuff that the bronners is getting out of your hair?

When you squirt it on your head most of it settles directly on your scalp. Make sure you lather it up from the scalp, often I overlook it and just rub the dreads around, which tends to leave some gunkiness.
