Looking for like minded folks in Hawkins / Gilmer area

I live in Garland but spend most of work week in Hawkins area in my condo on Holly Lake. Would like to meet people and make friends in the Hawkins area. I don't drink anymore because of acid reflux (getting old is tough) but I do partake of herbal smoke frequently. I listen to music nearly constantly and prefer it to the tube. My favorite music is roots rock and some progressive hard rock. I still like seeing live bands perform but in smaller venues as opposed to crowded concert halls and stadiums. I prefer to sit and enjoy the sounds instead of standing and being pushed around. I don't like violence and have seen all the trouble I want. I prefer non antagonistic friendships and I am a good listener. Conversation is a cool way to pass the time and loneliness is a drag. I spend too much time alone and could use some company.
Get in touch and meet a nice, easy going grand dad type who is very mellow and likes outdoors, especially river rafting and camping.
