ok so i really do not know where to post this but the hippie thread seemed like a good spot. So, on one hand the smell of weed seems to go away when i use insense or sprays, on the other hand later on, i either get a wiff of its smelling agents just floating around, or i trick myself into thinking i have. sometimes weed smell seems to come back when i light up a cigarette or if there is warm air circulating in the room as opposed to cold. what about a car? it smells horrible if you try to stick a whole incense in there. what will really do the trick and get rid of that smell or is it just the fact that my piece makes my breath smell bad, and that is what i am smelling? it is hard to tell, i already have a bad sense of smell.:daisy: not trying to sound like an idiot.
If you smoked the weed recently and are still smelling it it's probably just the smell of your own mouth. listerine/gum/etc weed smell only lingers around for like 6 hours or so. more like 3 hours if in a well ventilated place. just watch where you exhale febreeze does wonders, as does exhaling through a toilet paper tube with a bounce sheet elastic-banded to the end as a filter.
You aren't fooling anyone, all the smell of incense and spray does is tell your parents that you at least try to hide it. Just smoke somewhere else and just straight up don't smoke in cars at all, it makes it smell like weed every time you start up the heater in the future
Febreeze works pretty well. But then, if you're worried about parents, they're going to wonder why everything near you smells like Febreeze. See above post.
pretty cool, but i dont live with my parents. but thanks i just dont like the smell lingering and having to wonder if im being judged for smoking its a personal choice and im an adult making the choice, and so on.
My advice then is that if you don't have to be at work/school or anywhere important that day, don't worry about the smell. Be proud of it. As you said, you're an adult and it's your choice. People only judge because most are ignorant about who really uses it. There still seems to be the assumption in some people that pot is for criminals and gangsters and mexicans. The more people get exposed to the reality that folks from all walks of life, good people too, use it, the less it'll bad reputation will linger. (I'm not saying all criminals and Mexicans aren't good people. Many simply assume that those are the majority of people who use it because in North America, that's where most it has come from in the past.)
ya i just hate being judged bc i smoke a lot and by myself bc smokeing with people gives me anxiety, and there are a lot of people who judge others on that, and i hate the anxiety of possibly being judged bc i have social anxiety as well.
I don't understand why you didn't post this in the pot forum...and why you have a thread in the stoner's lounge about how you're trying to quit, and how weed does bad things to you, then you go and start a thread in the hippies forum asking how to hide pot smell? I don't really go to any lengths to hide the smell. If I'm going to be in a situation where I don't want people to smell weed on me, I don't smoke until afterwards....but basically I just don't worry about it. If people judge me, good for them. What are they going to do, perform a citizen's arrest because I smell like pot?
If your a cigarette smoker, i know that does the trick. Then again you have to then deal with the cigg smell.
I know it sticks around in a car for a long time. One of my friends had to quit weed for probation and I smelled it in his truck for a month after he quit. You don't smell it because you've gotten used to it, everyone else does smell it, especially if they don't smoke regularly.
for the car smoke with the windows open!and get those air freshener things that clip into the vents.wildberrie workes great.nobody knew i smoked weed in one of my trucks
those vent fresheners are cool beans. spoof if you are worried, and keep an alternate hoodie on hand for going out. hoodies hold a lot of odor, but they are SOOOO comfy. so keep one smoke-free for going out in public. use vinegar OR baking soda in your laundry to help deodorize (not together, or you'll get science-fair volcano in your washing machine) also, you can use a 1:1 mix of vinegar and water in a small spray bottle. it definitely helps deodorize, and the vinegar smell dissipates quickly. EDIT: to add that if your piece makes your mouth smell bad, CLEAN IT! i have a few that i keep around for dry-hitting the resin, but not for regular smoking, that would be NASTY day in/ day out.
