yo hippie peoples, where for art thou?

I've stopped cutting my hair, I often walk around the house and garden barefoot and my personal hygiene is impeccable

seriously though why be indie/hipster when they're all just basically pseudo hippies. where's the long flowing hair and clothes and flowers and love of all things? anyone know of any hippie festivals/gatherings etc?

(probably wrong forum, but seeing as i'm new I just thought this'd be a general 'hi guys' and 'hows it going' thread)

Why be a hippie when you can grow your hair and wear flowers just like that.

lol, I'm not conforming- just want to be around like-minded people who share similar interests

 

i find that i learn more from being around people with opposing interests to mine

makes me re-examine things i believe, always a good thing

and the beliefs i stick with are strengthened from the trials

 

but being around them all the time though- gets a tadd boring. Plus i'm a bit stubborn in my beliefs :S

 

funny, i find like-minded people just as boring, different strokes . . .

stubborn, hmm, i've cycled through stuff over and over again, don't know how old you are but the future may surprise you

it surprised the hell out of me . . .

hey thanks farmout, and wa bluska wicca I'm 18 but I think i've changed quite a bit already- I used to be basically a nerd crossed with skinhead (not quite sure how though lol, they seem kinda opposite) and used to be racist, homophobic etc. now I'm all tolerant and relaxed and appreciate music much more. whatever, just think i'm gonna be like this for good though- at least I hope I am.
