You're travelling through another dimension. A dimension, not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone! One of my favorite television shows made into an equally awesome movie. The opening scene is Dan Akroyd and Albert Brooks riding in a car together playing a game with television theme songs. Akroyd asks Brooks if he wants to see something scary, when the driver pulls over he looks away and then turns into a demon before slaughtering him. One of my favorite scenes of all time! Unfortunately during filming Vic Morrow and a 6 or 7 year old actress named Myca Le were decapitated by the blades of a helicopter. Vic actually said "I’m not getting up in the helicopter… I have the idea that I’m going to get killed in a helicopter crash."
Rockin flick haven't seen it in years. Cool little fact when they did "The Twilight Zone" tv show in the 80's The Greatful Dead did the soundtrack. Peace Out, Rev J
no way i didnt know that, theyre a good fit together. im hoping sometime in the future theyll do another twilight zone movie or run some older episodes. i only get to watch it before new years when the marathon is on. thanks for the reply!
That's probably my favorite television show ever. Interesting fact- Meredith Burgess played the devil once or twice on the old Twilight Zone series. The same man who played the penguin in the old Adam West Batman series and he also played "Mickey" the coach in the Rockey movies. He is also the voice of Puff the Magic Dragon.
Ron Glass from Barney Miller also played the devil on an episode of the 80's Twilight Zone. Robert Redford was also on a classic Twilight Zone playing Death. Peace Out, Rev J
There's something extra haunting about the old Twilight series... And the fact that they were filmed in black and white, now forces the viewer to focus more in on the theme, and content... In other words the simple sets, black and white color, easy to follow dialuge, keeps the viewer zoomed in on the content...the story line... I think the reason why remakes often fail...is because they forget that simple fact... To keep it simple... Instead they bombared the viewers with to many visual and audible distractions...such as loud pop or studio music, vibrant color, flashy characters, and overly sexy actresses or actors... All those things distract the mind...like noise...and all those combined distractions take away from story or theme...
one of my favorite horror entertainment shows and movies of all time. i really miss it man. too bad they don't make it or anything like it any more.
