So how many stoners or hpers in general have made a living off of being an entrepreneur? What exactly did you do and sell? Me and a few VERY good friends are planning on starting some sort of business. We have thought about starting a despensory for mm. My background in education comes in the graphic tech., socialogy and advertising. We are all very intelligent and artistic and hope to start up something soon. :2thumbsup:

When I get stoned I get the urge to save princesses from overgrown turtle lizards with an Italian Plumber who eats mushrooms with varying powers.

I'm much more creative and likely to get things accomplished when I smoke only on occasion.

I own a Deli in NYC, and I have another Deli in PA. I started working when I was 11, and Im still working now. Being your own boss is the best thing you can ever do but its definitely not easy.

I never liked the idea of working for someone else.

Nobody pays you better than you pay yourself.

I've been thinking about doing fishing guide service on the side to make some extra cash... get paid like $100 to take a person fishing... and that's cheap

Me and a friend founded Flo Parkour, which is what we hope to become a household name in south Florida. Our goal is to teach new traceurs and build training gymnasiums around FL. Its in the works but gotta start somewhere.

Im also trying to teach kids to longboard skateboard, charge $15/hr which is super cheap but enough for me. Next is skimboarding >=D

shakes head. oh to be 16 and naive again. if you want to start a business, you do it. if you go in with 'friends' or family you are asking for trouble. its easy to get your hopes up, but it is a tough tough world, and harder still for your generation. what can you offer from a dispensary that others do not already? if you can find something that you do that is unique to you and has demand, or do something more commonplace far better than the competition then you have a chance.
    >i had more to say, but took a phonecall and lost it. older relative has taken a turn for the worse. my moms really upset, but shes at work. jackasses making her stay.

I'm going to start an all natural beauty care company...shampoos, lotion, face wash, natural make up, etc...I'm starting an herb garden so I have to wait for that to grow before I start, then I'm going to get someone to design labels and start by selling the stuff on etsy.

I don't ever really expect it to make me much of a profit, to be honest. I just enjoy creating and making things like that.

You can do really well with this type of thing. Make a nice brochure. Have some rods that people could rent from you. Find a local place that makes a boxed lunch.

Take them to places they wouldn't normally find. Drive 45 minutes away to some beautiful 'secret' spot that you know about. Tell them about local color/history/stories. Get to know the person and have a few different 'scripts' to talk to people about based on the person.

Hotels and Motels WANT to find things like this for their guests. The happier the guests are the more they will come back. Give the guy behind the hotel desk $20 per person that they get you.

Make sure you have a good time and the client will have a good time.

I could see that being fun and working out. I would think you may want to offer and include the rods\gear and lunch in the guiding fee. Wont you also need a way to get a day fishing license for the adults who don't get one annually for Minnesota?

thats a different category though, like a hobby business. if i never sold/ gave away any of my craft projects i would run out of room to make more! its like hobby farms, not really going to make you profit, but you get all the joys of farming.

What can i offer at a dispensary? We are quite the weed nerds and expert growers. Also as far as something unique we could do online orders. Also being able to reach people through advertising is a specialty of mine :) We could easily attracked people with offers like 20 minute bud deliveries or the buds on us. Also people flock to brand names. Were extremely good at graphic design too. Also making organic bowls/pipes is a hobby of ours which we can also incorporate.

I don't live in a medical marijuana state and therefore know nothing of dispensaries so I have no idea if deliveries are legal or not, but provided everything you mentioned above could be easily done within the limits of the law, I think you actually have a practical and well-thought out idea. If you're only 16 you have plenty of time to hammer out the kinks. I hope you and your friends pull this off one day.

I said it would probably never make profit, but I think it could make profit if I invested enough time and energy into it. It is not necessarily strictly a hobby business. Any all-natural beauty care line sold in Whole Foods probably started as a small cottage industry.

Ty! :2thumbsup: We have done some research on the laws in cali and all of our ideas are legal. Currently were all getting part time jobs to start saving up cash to do this. Also when we relocate are parents are behind us with $$ to help out for renting apartments and what not. We all turn 17 soon so were hopeing for the big move next summer. :)
