It would be an excellent adventure. I would enjoy a chance to meet some of the people and see some new country.

What if, instead of spending two trillion dollars on the Iraq/Afghan wars, we spent the money on developing wind and solar energy, and alternative energy vehicles? What if, instead of welfare for billionaires, we paid off the national debt? What if, Ralph Nader would have been prez instead of Shrub? What if, everyone in America woke up and realized that the Democratic and Republican parties are the problem, not the solution? Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Gotta understand who the government works for and it AIN'T the taxpayer. It wouldn't matter who got coronated as executive puppet-in-chief- it is the big money that has permanently installed itself above what we see as the federal government that calls the shots. Congress is charged with the tasks of spinning the corporate agenda to make us think it's in our interests and manufacturing distractions to hold our attention on unimportant "issues" (like steroids in sports or a president getting a blow job) and deceptions to reinforce the premise that they work for us- this in the form of contrived debates and parading "evil" CEOs before congress to enact the play of testimony- all for public consumption. Meanwhile, things like the economic collapse get engineered for purposes including drawing money into a scheme so big banks can reap an obscene harvest when it all collapses as well as creating a crisis to justify handing over a couple trillion more to help consolidate the sector under the guise of economic rescue. The president's job is mainly to make speeches and together with congress, perpetuate domestic division divisions so the working class keeps its collective attention from the crimes being committed by the people who won elected office on tired and transparent promises of reform and returning government to the people. Until the middle class becomes activist this process will not only continue, but it will accelerate. Watch all manner of "crisis" be used to justify taking away rights, freedoms, and economic opportunity. It is money alone that motivates those who govern us- and NOT what is good for us.
