I'm thinking about possible tryptamines I would like to try out. However, I live with my parents and would be unable to store any RCs in the fridge or freezer. Therefore a big part of my decision will be based on which ones will last the longest when stored at room temperature (in a dark place and with desiccant). I am especially interested in DPT, 4-AcO-DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, and AMT, but would be open to other suggestions as well.

all i know is that 4-aco-dmt fumarate is more stable than HCl salt. it also weighs a bit more per molecule, so it requires a slightly higher dose.

i'm sure plenty of people have kept the other 3 you mention at room temperature with no noticeable degradation. especially if you aren't holding onto them for years.

Keeping them in a cool dark place will be fine for a while.

What about the other 4-substituted ones? I know those tend to be less stable than the rest, but are some more stable than others?

it doesn't so much depend on the actual chemical (4acodmt for instance) but the FORM that it's in. so _____ tryptamine FUMARATE will be more stable than ____ HCl. and i think, but am not sure, that 4-ho-xxx is more stable than 4-aco-xxx, since it is thought that 4acodmt can degrade into 4hodmt

I inquired about just this a little while back. This is the response I received from a highly regarded source.

"Fumarate salts are more stable than hydrochloride salts but usually a compound is synthesized as a fumarate salt because it is naturally unstable. Tryptamines are generally not very stable so I recommend storing in a freezer. If you are not storing in vials then I recommend folding the bags to remove as much air as possible and storing them in a few larger bags of increasing size. If you want them to stay for a long time without storing in a vial you should place a sillica gel pack and an anti-oxidant pack next to the samples. Silica gel packs are commonly found in shoe boxes and anti-oxidant packs are commonly fund in beef jerky packs. They will keep the air and mositure away from degrading the samples.

Phenethylamines are very stable and can be kept at room temperature although for long term storage they should be refrigerated.

If stored properly tryptamines can last for years, but if stored at room temperature left in the bag they may start to degrade after a couple months. "

Put them in a box of food in the freezer. You know, the one's that are always sitting towards the back that you never use?

I should add a rarely mentioned detail. When storing in the fridge or freeze, before you open up your package let the substance warm to room temperature. That way the cold doesn't allow moisture to condense on your powder or crystal like on a cold beer.

I thought about this. But, there aren't really any boxes of food that fall into that category. We don't keep a lot of food in the freezer. I also thought about trying to find some hidden corner or something and taping the RCs to the wall behind it. Like behind the ice compartment or something. Couldn't seem to make this work though.

If only it were still winter, I could store them outside. I would be worried about animals getting to it though. I don't want any deer tripping balls in my backyard.
