Fresh (undried) shrooms can be kept for about a week before spoiling, right? Well... how long can they be kept after being dried? Also, instead of drying them, can they be frozen?

I have eaten them frozen, well dry frozen. pressed into dry ice till they were no longer a plant, but a mineral......they still work IF THE WERE GOOD TO BEGIN WITH but usually freeze dried mushrooms are bunk.

Don't freeze them fresh, the ice crystals that will form from the moisture would just tear em appart, best way to preserve them is to just dry em out.

That's right. Freeze 'em when they dry.

I always save some from the summer harvest for christmas time, and they experience no noticable loss of potentcy.

I wouldn't count on keeping them fresh in the fridge for a week. A few days, maybe, but's it's best to dry them.

Freeze them when dried for long term storage.
