yeah I'm allergic too..didn't get the epi pen for a while due to insurance issues...

I used the epi pen last year after getting stung, only to realize the thing had expired...I felt stoned for the rest of the day

I'm not allergic to anything, but I almost died once in Iraq from a 155mm rocket. I felt like that compared to my DPT trip to death, and was equally important.

So, a near death experience definitely came close to what a good psychedelic trip does.

When I was a kid I was stung twice on my neck by a wasp and I’d swear it looked just like a vampire bite [IMG]

    That's not clever really.

I'm allergic too. I didn't know until I got stung by a bee last summer. I'm asthmatic and didn't put two and two together (ref. swelling etc) so I just suffered. The pain got worse and worse and people around me were very much "Oh ya, mine hurt too, it's normal to feel that ill.." wankers. Apparently it isn't normal. Eventually I collapsed and went to hospital :(

    bee sting, bee bite
the first bee i see tonight
    i wish i may i wish i might
have the wish i wish tonight.

    suppository...

seriously, i think i'm mildly allergic to bees. normally whatever body part they sting swells up about as big as my skin will stretch, but overall i'm fine. i did have one scary sting though; i was driving and a bee flew in my window and right up my shorts, and stung right on the side of the ass. i drove for about 5 more minutes before i realized that the stinger was still in there, so i reached in and pulled it out. problem was, i pinched the venom sack and squeezed it all into my ass as i did it. i got home and took a benadryl, and lied down for a minute. very soon, i started to get really dizzy, so i told my mom to take me to the hospital, and as i was walking out to her car i passed out on the porch. then the benadryl kicked in, and by the time we got to the hospital i was completely fine.

i was stung again one week to the day after that incident, and other than a swollen foot i was hardly affected.

Was it a bee, or was it a wasp? Sorry, lol, just curious. I once was stung by a wasp and it made my arm swell and left a scar on my elbow where it got me, but it didn't get worse than a little swollen, so it wasn't bad. Scorpions on the other hand, I've been stung by 4 I believe. 3 on the same foot and 1 on my thumb.

First time I was in the living room at my house and had no shoes on and stretched out my feet across the floor and kicked one with my tiniest toe. About passed out from the rush to the head because I panicked, so all that venom just rushed through my body because my heart was beating so quick. I was alright when the searing pain finally ebbed off into a throbby numb feeling that ran up the side of my foot. I still haven't totally regained feeling in that area.

Then there was the time I was in the shower and to make matters even WORSE, I was in the midst of trying out my waterproof vibrator and my foot slipped and my big toe met with a scorpion. So my heart beat was ALREADY elevated, and the initial panic that always hits when I get stung was going, and I nearly dropped. I was alright...I may have even finished my session, but the details are fuzzy at this point. lol And I still haven't completely regained the feeling in that toe and get sharp pains that are similar to the feeling of the sting pretty often. But I don't get the fun toxin rush to the brain with it, so it's mostly just annoying.

Then there was the time that I accidentally grabbed a scorpion in the dark, thinking it was just a leaf on my pillow on the ground. He got my thumb as I tossed him across the room. I didn't even register what was going on until I saw him land and try to scurry off. I'm not sure how it worked out this way, but it didn't even hurt. My skin's kind of thick on my thumb, that or the way it stung me as it was flying out of my hand could've been reasons why it didn't really effect me at all. I got a little fuzzy headed like they always do to me and my hand and arm got tingly, but it didn't hurt in the slightest. So thus, I thought I was super woman and immune to scorpion stings.

Wrong. The last dance I did with a scorpion, I was in the shower again. I have a bad problem with losing my hair when I wash it, so the drain got clogged, so I used my foot to move it off the drain. There was a scorpion in that mass of hair and he got me on the toe next to my previously stung little toe. It hurt just as much as the first and second, but I don't panic as much now, so the head rush wasn't as rewarding.

I don't plan on hunting out scorpions just for that neat feeling that comes once all the agonizing pain subsides, but it is a nice bonus to such an asshole move. Fucking scorpions. What assholes.

I fell a small pine tree once that had a hornets nest in it. I got stung 27 times. Honestly, I bet I've been stung over a 100 times in my life (admittedly not much compared to a beekeeper).

Ya know seems that this is a serious thing! Allergic to stings. I don't know..I'd be careful. Also

Worst place I experienced being stung was in my left eye socket below my brow above my eye closer to my nose....That created increadible discomfort and swelling. sucked big time.:(

The funniest sting I ever witnessed was one that my mother received during my child hood. We always hang our cloths on a line during the summer season (typical hippy shit) only this time, when mom dressed herself in panties and a sun dress right off the line...an overly friendly visitor caused her to pull of her panties and toss them:confused:! Poor crazy ol' bitch; Yup, that's right she was stung in the coolie.
