here's my problem. i hate my current career. a lot of things seem really interesting to me but i get overwhelmed. i am phobic of committing the time. and i hate reading. i mean, i actually love reading, but i hate reading most stuff.... something has to be really good for me to read it for very long without getting bored and scanning. my attention span just isn't very good for various reasons anymore. it's like my brain just wants to veg but in my heart i want to learn. i've been like this for a while now. i'm starting to believe i'm just not very smart. i want to be competent and work but i don't know what to do ... also i haven't made many friends that are willing to help me get a job ... does anyone have this issue ... it's kind of like a mixture of adhd and depression.
I think it's a clue that you're not doing what you were destined to do. Do some deep thinking on what you REALLY want to do and do it. You may not make a lot of money, you may be moved to a different continent, but I can assure you that once you find your purpose, you'll be filled with ambition and happiness. Good luck
I feel the same way when it comes to school and being forced to do stuff... I agree with haha wintaaa, take some time to think about what you want to do and once you figure that out, you will crave learning
thanks. i am interested in learning foreign languages. i know that i am tired of routine and want something different. i am a tired of dealing with the public and i have not worked with them very long... but its not for me.
There is a reason people feel this way. Its entirely justified and is instinctual, or so I'm convinced. People aren't meant to be stuck behind the title of a career, nor behind a desk in a school. School wastes the first precious decades of your life and your career has the rest of it, until retirement anyways. Its all negative if you ask me, and needs to be carefully rethought. No way out it seems, but there's a loophole. "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" I'm not sure who originally said that, but they were very correct. Doing something you actually enjoy doing is an important thing when it comes to choosing a job. It must be decided before you start classes, because learning about doing the thing you love is almost as good as actually doing it. Hope this helps
