So I got a new laptop and am too lazy to transfer my 5000+ songs from my old one to my new one.... so those will all remain on my iPod. Anyway..... Anyone have some good music to suggest?

Besides what is usually playing [grateful dead, radiohead, etc, you know... the good stuff], I have been listening to Bon Iver, Akron/Family, The Dodos, and other bands like that. However, I will give everything a chance.....

    So, with that said.......

SUGGEST A BAND FOR ME TO LISTEN TO!

If you haven't checked out much in the way of soul music then that's my recommendation: Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Otis Redding, Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Sam & Dave, and Sam Cooke being some examples, along with current acts such as Charles Bradley (interesting story here) Aloe Blacc, Anthony Hamilton, John Legend et al

~ and don't forget to bring the funk! Sly & The Family Stone, Funkadelic, Parliament, Betty Davis

    ~ and Stevie Wonder

    ~ always Stevie Wonder. ;-D
